Among Us Story: On Guard launches February 17, 2027, on PC, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, iOS and Android. Innersloth’s October 8 announcement also confirms a Steam demo available October 8–15, 2026.

This is a separate single-player narrative game, rather than another multiplayer mode for the original Among Us. You control Guard inside a MIRA training simulation, investigate murders and try to establish your innocence.

Release date and confirmed platforms

The developer names five launch platforms. Steam supplies the confirmed PC storefront; the announcement does not provide a universal unlock hour or local mobile-store pricing.

PlayStation and Xbox are absent from that announcement. Their omission should not be turned into a promise of later ports. The date is also listed in our release calendar.

How to try the October demo

As checked on October 9, the official Steam page displays an Among Us Story: On Guard Demo download.

  1. Open that game’s Steam page, rather than the original Among Us listing.
  2. Find the demo download section and select its download control.
  3. Follow Steam’s prompts to install it through the client.

Innersloth gives the current demo window as October 8 through October 15 for LudoNarraCon. No exact closing hour is supplied in the announcement. Check the live storefront for account or regional availability; do not assume the download remains offered after that window.

The demo is a sample of the upcoming game. Its availability does not make the full February release a free game.

How does it differ from regular Among Us?

Innersloth’s game description puts the investigation inside MIRA’s Crewmate training program. Guard is responsible for security, but murder accusations make solving the case a matter of survival as well as duty.

Tasks remain part of the adventure: completing them advances the mission and uncovers clues. The developer describes three endings, giving the narrative more than one outcome. That does not establish randomly generated cases or a particular number of hours for a complete playthrough.

Steam labels this release single-player. Readers looking for sessions with a multiplayer lobby should distinguish On Guard from the existing social-deduction game. Neither shared branding nor familiar Crewmates establishes multiplayer compatibility between them.

What is still unannounced?

The checked release announcement does not give the full-game price, preorder terms, a global unlock time or cross-save support between platforms. Wishlisting on Steam is available, but a wishlist is not a purchase or reservation of a particular edition.

The confirmed next steps are the October demo window and February release. For the developer’s own presentation of the mystery, watch its original release-date trailer below.
