What is Clayman’s Revenge?

Clayman’s Revenge adapts the manga drawn by Wataru Kajika, based on an idea by original Slime author Fuse. The official anime introduction frames it as an alternative path for the demon lord Clayman: a story about what his life might look like if it had taken a different turn. It is a spinoff centered on him, not a replacement for the main series’ timeline. The newly revealed teaser visual shows Clayman standing by a window, with his mask on a table in the foreground.

Who is making the anime, and is Clayman’s voice actor back?

Takehito Koyasu returns as Clayman, according to the official cast and staff announcement. Kentaro Sugimoto directs at Eight Bit. Yuji Haibara handles series composition, while Asumi Hashimoto and Hideki Sakai design the characters. The announcement does not yet provide a complete cast list or episode count.

The franchise also released a collaboration special video for Season 4 and Clayman’s Revenge. It is a joint promotional piece, not a full trailer that establishes the spinoff’s episode-by-episode story.

Is Clayman’s Revenge Season 5?

No. Clayman’s Revenge is its own anime adaptation. The main series remains in Season 4, whose first two consecutive cours began in April 2026. The previously announced plan spans five cours in total, so the July 2027 third cour is neither Season 5 nor necessarily the end of Season 4. The September announcement supplies no exact July start date or episode count for that cour.
