Robert Pattinson’s Batmobile has taken some visible damage during production on The Batman: Part II.

Set photos circulating this week show a transporter carrying two versions of the vehicle used in Matt Reeves’ Batman universe: one that appears largely intact and another with a substantial dent along its side. The images were traced by GamesRadar to a Reddit post shared on August 17.

What caused the damage is not confirmed. Warner Bros., DC Studios and Reeves have not revealed the scene behind the battered vehicle, so the photos should not be treated as proof of a crash, chase, villain attack or any specific plot point.

The Batman Part II Is Filming in Glasgow

Principal photography officially began on June 12, 2026, when Reeves shared a first-shot slate from the production. Filming has since moved through the UK, with Glasgow currently being transformed into Gotham for location work.

The Scottish shoot began this week, with Gotham signage, police vehicles and the Batmobile appearing around the city as crews prepared for filming.

Warner Bros. currently has The Batman: Part II scheduled to open in theaters on February 18, 2028. Reeves co-wrote the screenplay with Mattson Tomlin, and the sequel remains separate from the main DC Universe as part of Reeves’ Batman crime saga.

Robert Pattinson returns as Bruce Wayne, with Colin Farrell back as Oz Cobb, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth. Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry and Sebastian Koch have also joined the cast. Recent Variety reporting says the supporting roles remain under wraps, so Red Reactions is not treating online villain speculation as confirmed casting.

James Gunn also recently denied a separate rumor that The Batman: Part II and a third film were being shot back-to-back, responding simply: “I can deny.”

For now, the damaged Batmobile is the newest visible clue from the production — and nothing more than that until Reeves or the studio says otherwise.
