Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Keepsake Sea Launches November 18
The Keepsake Sea adds five villagers, underwater building and a pirate ship on November 18. Compare companions, editions and the separate free Lilo update.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Keepsake Sea launches November 18, 2026, Gameloft announced in its October 21 showcase recap. The paid expansion adds three island biomes, five villagers, a customizable Merfolk form and an Enchanted Pirate Ship. Lilo arrives separately in the free ‘Ohana Holidays update on December 9.
The expansion and free-update dates
| Content | Announced date | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Seafaring Star Path | October 21–December 2, 2026 | A separate reward path running alongside Haunting Elegance |
| The Keepsake Sea | November 18, 2026 | Paid expansion; base game required, with bundle options for new players |
| Mermaid fin early-adopter bonus | Play November 18–December 2 | Requires purchase of The Keepsake Sea and play during that window |
| ‘Ohana Holidays, featuring Lilo | December 9, 2026 | Free game update |
These are the publisher’s calendar dates. The recap does not establish a single worldwide unlock hour or identical storefront availability in every country.
Which characters join The Keepsake Sea?
The three new biomes each include underwater areas. Gameloft places the five new villagers as follows:
| Biome | Villagers | Source films |
|---|---|---|
| Shipwreck Shores | Milo Thatch; Captain Jack Sparrow | Atlantis: The Lost Empire; Pirates of the Caribbean |
| Candy Cove | Megara; Captain Hook | Hercules; Peter Pan |
| Kingdom of Oublié | Wendy | Peter Pan |
Dory is an Adventure Companion, a separate role from those villagers. She helps with underwater exploration and finding items, earns rewards as she levels up, and accompanies players on land inside a bubble.
Flounder and Sebastian are additional Adventure Companions included with the Deluxe Edition. Each has a quest involving Ariel and rewards earned through leveling. They should not be counted as two more standard villagers or as part of every expansion purchase.
Swimming, underwater building and a ship of your own
Unlocking the Merfolk form opens customization for ears, fins, arms, torsos, tail patterns and colors. It also enables swimming across surface water in the Valley and previous expansions, with fish collected by diving into ripples.
Underwater decorating uses platforms that raise or lower objects, letting players build at different heights. Each main biome supplies themed architectural kits, decorations and water props. Decoration Blueprints return with large furniture pieces to restore.
The Enchanted Pirate Ship has customizable sails and a flag, a crane for salvaging items, and room for up to two villagers as crewmates. Below deck, the Captain’s Cabin can be decorated and provides crafting, cooking and storage. These are developer-announced features, rather than firsthand gameplay findings.
Expansion, Deluxe and Apple Arcade access
For existing base-game owners, the regular add-on includes 5,000 Moonstones. Deluxe includes 10,000 Moonstones, Gilded Shell Tops clothing, a Merfolk Mansion House Style and the Flounder and Sebastian companions. Moonstones are in-game currency bundled with the editions, not their cash prices.
Gameloft says Disney Dreamlight Valley Arcade Edition owners receive The Keepsake Sea’s contents on day one without an additional purchase. That statement should not be generalized into identical edition extras across all storefronts.
New players can choose The Keepsake Sea Edition, bundling the base game and expansion, or Ultimate Edition 2026, which also includes Wishblossom Ranch and the Keepsake Sea Deluxe contents. Check the official listing for your platform and country for the applicable price, contents and purchase options; the showcase is not a verified regional price list.
The showcase also teases an early-2027 roadmap. Its visual clues do not establish additional named characters beyond the announcements above. Follow our Gaming coverage and release calendar for confirmed dates.
