Gameoverse Gets Eight-Episode Season and Three 2027 Release Dates
GLITCH has greenlit an eight-episode Gameoverse season. Episode 2 arrives May 21, 2027, with two more dates announced. Check the schedule and official pilot.

GLITCH Productions has greenlit an eight-episode season of Ross O’Donovan’s Gameoverse, with episode 2 announced for May 21, 2027. Episode 3 follows on August 27 and episode 4 on October 29. The animated series already has a pilot: the May 2027 date marks its continuation.
The studio confirmed full production in its October 23 video, Now Loading… GAMEOVERSE. O’Donovan’s own announcement separately confirms the eight-episode season and says episodes 2 through 4 will arrive during 2027.
Gameoverse Season 1 release schedule
GLITCH’s announcement video supplies three dated episode cards. They establish a staggered return, with several months between the announced installments:
| Episode | Date | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Pilot / episode 1 | May 15, 2026 | Already released on GLITCH’s YouTube channel |
| Episode 2 | May 21, 2027 | Announced in the official video |
| Episode 3 | August 27, 2027 | Announced in the official video |
| Episode 4 | October 29, 2027 | Announced in the official video |
| Episodes 5–8 | Not dated in this announcement | Part of the announced eight-episode season |
These are announced calendar dates, subject to change. The cards do not provide exact release hours, and the eight-episode approval does not establish a weekly schedule or date the season finale. Our release calendar lists the three upcoming episodes separately.
Where can you watch the Gameoverse pilot?
GLITCH’s official Gameoverse page links directly to GAMEOVERSE: PILOT on the studio’s YouTube channel. The original upload is dated May 15, 2026, so it is available as the starting point ahead of episode 2.
Use that original listing to check playback in your country. The announcement does not specify a new subscription-service deal, country-by-country rollout or dubbing schedule for the upcoming episodes.
What is Gameoverse about?
Created by O’Donovan, Gameoverse follows Kit through a universe of video-game worlds facing destruction. Its central reversal is that saving a world means helping its villain: a hero reaching the game’s win condition can bring that world to an end.
GLITCH describes the show as an action drama, while its press materials also identify comedy among its genres. It is an independent animated web series built around a gaming premise, with Kit’s efforts to save those worlds driving the story.

The short preview combines animation with the 2027 date cards and a merchandise segment. The episode cards appear around 40 seconds into the video. Neither the video nor O’Donovan’s accompanying post supplies dates for episodes 5–8.
