The 2026 Gintama Yoshiwara movie will join Prime Video’s subscription offering in Japan at 00:00 JST on Monday, November 30, 2026. The film’s official announcement, dated October 30, confirms exclusive subscription streaming on that service. It does not announce a worldwide Prime Video release.

For viewers waiting for the film to be included with a subscription, the important distinction is between that November date and the separately paid rental already advertised on the Japanese site.

When does it arrive, and is it included with Prime?

The movie’s distribution page lists November 30 at midnight under its subscription-streaming section and links to Amazon’s Japanese service. It separately advertises rental availability under a pay-per-title heading.

The announced midnight is Japan Standard Time, not midnight in every viewer’s country. The same instant is 15:00 UTC on November 29; that conversion is a clock reference, not confirmation that another country’s catalogue unlocks then.

Does this confirm a release outside Japan?

No international rollout is confirmed by this notice. It appears on the Japanese movie site, and its viewing links lead to Amazon.co.jp. There is no territory list extending the offer to other markets, nor a promise of English subtitles or an English dub.

Readers elsewhere should check their local Prime Video listing for this specific film rather than treating the Japanese subscription date as a global availability announcement. The notice also does not set out a worldwide digital-rental price.

Which Gintama movie is this?

The announcement names 新劇場版 銀魂 -吉原大炎上-, the 2026 Yoshiwara film, commonly rendered in English as Gintama the Movie 2026: Yoshiwara in Flames.

Its official story introduction follows Gintoki meeting Seita, a boy searching for his mother. That search leads to Yoshiwara, an underground district controlled by Hosen. The film brings the Yoshiwara story to the cinema screen; the streaming notice concerns this named movie, not a newly announced television season or the entire Gintama catalogue.

The dated announcement and the separate distribution page are the useful references when checking whether an offer is subscription viewing or a rental. For other current adaptation announcements, see our anime coverage.
