Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Characters: Weak, D, Talia and the New Crew
Meet 13 named Edgerunners 2 characters through CDPR's official profiles: the leads, Avida and Kiril's family ties, corporate links and Japanese voice credits.

Weak Kingsley, D, Roman Carax and Talia lead Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2’s new Night City cast, but CD PROJEKT RED’s official character profiles name a wider network of family, crew members, corporate figures and braindance workers.
This guide covers 13 named characters and their creator-published connections. Its scope is the promotional biographies: no episode endings, character fates or unannounced cameos are inferred. The voice credits below are specifically Japanese.
The four lead figures
Weak / Weak Kingsley was once known as King, an accomplished edgerunner. The official story now places him past that peak, living without cyberware and looking for purpose. That contrast between his old reputation and current circumstances is the starting point supplied by the creators.
D is a Snake Nation netrunner pursuing revenge for the destruction of his clan. His technical ability and that personal mission define the profile. The biography does not identify the killer for readers, so naming a culprit would go beyond this guide’s source.
Roman Carax is a film enthusiast interested in documenting real lives in a city that has turned toward braindance. Roman’s role introduces a different perspective on the people around the crew: someone trying to record their stories rather than simply accepting a polished narrative.
Talia connects two very different environments. She was raised in a corporate world and later shaped by Maelstrom’s violent, cyberware-centered culture. The current official card uses the name Talia; it is her family connections that explain another part of her place in the cast.
Talia, Avida and Kiril: the confirmed family connection
Avida is Talia’s mother, a former jazz singer and corporate insider. CDPR also identifies her as Weak’s former romantic partner. She has since rebuilt her life around her daughter and her marriage to a Kang Tao executive.
That executive is Kiril, whom the official profile explicitly names as Avida’s husband and Talia’s father. He is presented as outwardly composed, with an authoritative corporate manner.
Those are the published relationships. Weak’s history with Avida adds an older personal connection to the network; it does not justify substituting a different parentage for the one the official biographies state.
Corporate ties and the braindance venue
Two more profiles establish company affiliations:
- Kitano is an Arasaka corporate employee.
- Richard works for Kang Tao, the company also associated with Kiril.
The cards give those affiliations without a full organizational chart. They do not specify Richard’s reporting line or turn every corporate character into a confirmed participant in the same scheme.
Elsewhere in Night City, Sal owns Sal Bigelow’s Braindance Paradise, and Jessie works there as a braindance engineer. Their shared workplace is the confirmed link between those two characters.
Taken together, the profiles connect Snake Nation through D, Maelstrom through Talia, Arasaka through Kitano and Kang Tao through Kiril and Richard. These are the associations CDPR publishes, rather than predictions of who will oppose whom.
Who is on King’s team?
The official King’s Team card identifies three members of Weak Kingsley’s crew:
- Miguel: a techie.
- Emily: a solo.
- Meshuga: a netrunner.
The card supplies their roles without detailing a mission history or their eventual place in the story. King’s older name and the crew’s label connect back to Weak; they are not evidence of a separate, newly named lead character.
Japanese voice cast
CDPR gives individual voice pairings for the first ten characters below. Its King’s Team card groups three performers together without labeling separate character–actor pairs, so that credit is kept collective here.
| Character | Japanese voice credit on the official site |
|---|---|
| Weak | Kentaro Tone |
| D | Koki Uchiyama |
| Roman Carax | Momoka Terasawa |
| Talia | Akari Kito |
| Avida | Akemi Okamura |
| Sal | Takashi Matsuyama |
| Jessie | Miho Okasaki |
| Kitano | Nobuo Tobita |
| Richard | Naoya Uchida |
| Kiril | Yasunori Matsumoto |
| Miguel, Emily and Meshuga — grouped credit | Kazuma Miki, Mirei Takebe and Shuhei Sakaguchi; individual pairings not specified on this card |
These names should not be read as the English dub cast or a guarantee that every audio option is available in every territory.
A standalone story and its announced Netflix date
CDPR’s August 21 announcement describes a standalone, ten-episode story with a new cast and an October 20, 2026 Netflix debut. It shares Night City with the earlier series rather than being presented as another adventure centered on David Martinez’s crew. That description does not settle unannounced cameo questions.
For the separate release announcement, see our premiere-date and cast report. The October full-trailer article covers the later official preview. Check the Netflix listing for your country for local access and language options; the dated announcement alone does not establish an exact worldwide unlock hour.
