Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Sets October 20 Netflix Release With a New Cast
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 hits Netflix on October 20, 2026, bringing a standalone 10-episode story and a completely new crew to Night City.

Night City is opening its doors again, but Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is not bringing David’s crew back for another run.
CD Projekt Red has confirmed that the new anime launches on Netflix on October 20, 2026. The date was revealed around Netflix’s Anime NYC showcase, alongside a new look at the completely different group of characters at the center of the story.
The official Edgerunners 2 site now lists the October 20 date directly. It also makes the structure clear: this is a standalone 10-episode story set in Night City, not a continuation built around David Martinez and the original crew.
That is probably the most interesting part of the return. The first Edgerunners worked because its characters felt doomed almost from the moment we met them. Rather than trying to undo that ending, CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger are starting over with another group caught in the same city.
At the center of the new story is Weak Kingsley, a veteran edgerunner once known as “King” who is now living without chrome and struggling to find a purpose after his best days have passed. Clancy Brown voices Weak in the English dub.
Then there is D, a Snake Nation netrunner hunting the person responsible for wiping out his clan. Roman Carax is a young filmmaker obsessed with capturing real stories in a city that has moved on from traditional film to braindance, while Talia Yang comes from a corpo background before being hardened by life around Maelstrom.

The English voice cast also includes Nazeeh Tarsha as D, Valeria Rodriguez as Roman and Kimoy Lee as Talia, alongside Brown as Weak. GamesRadar independently reported the October 20 date and the four lead voice roles following the Anime NYC reveal.
Kai Ikarashi directs the new series, with Kanno Ichigo serving as lead character designer. Bartosz Sztybor returns as showrunner, story writer and producer, while Masahiko Otsuka is also back among the creative team.
Netflix’s Anime NYC announcement describes Edgerunners 2 as a new chapter with a refreshed cast heading into some of Night City’s darkest corners.
The original series did not need its ending rewritten, and thankfully that does not seem to be the plan. Edgerunners 2 gets to keep the same world, the same brutal city and Studio Trigger’s visual identity while giving a new crew the chance to make their own terrible decisions.
October 20 is when we find out how badly those decisions go.
