GTA 6 Leak Account Cyberleek Wants $165,000 Just to Open Ad Talks
The account tied to the latest GTA 6 leaks is asking for 400 XMR — roughly $165,000 at the time of reporting — just to open advertising negotiations, as Take-Two seeks records from Microsoft and Discord.

The latest Grand Theft Auto VI leak story has taken an even stranger turn.
An account calling itself Cyberleek, which has claimed responsibility for the unauthorized GTA 6 material circulating this week, is now offering brands a way to discuss advertising in future leaked videos — but the price to start that conversation is enormous.
According to PC Gamer, Cyberleek’s contact page asks for 400 XMR in Monero, worth roughly $165,000 at the time of reporting. That payment does not buy an advertisement. It only guarantees a response so that a private negotiation can begin through the Session messaging service.
The page reportedly offers possibilities including video watermarks and custom footage tied to a brand. Cyberleek also describes the program as separate from a conventional ransom demand. None of that changes the basic reality that the material being used to attract advertisers is unauthorized GTA 6 content.
The timing is particularly bold because Take-Two Interactive is already trying to identify the people behind the leaks.
Variety reported that Take-Two filed requests in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on August 20 seeking DMCA subpoenas directed at Microsoft and Discord. The Verge likewise reports that the company is seeking records that could help identify the alleged infringer or infringers. The requested information is due by September 4.
That legal action matters because Cyberleek’s identity is still not publicly established. The alias has been attached to the recent leak campaign, but speculation about who is actually behind it — or where that person or group is located — remains just that.
The situation also recalls Rockstar’s much larger 2022 breach, which resulted in roughly 90 early GTA 6 clips appearing online. Lapsus$ member Arion Kurtaj later received an indefinite hospital order after a jury found he had committed the acts while he was considered unfit to stand trial. Reporting this summer says he has since been transferred to prison ahead of a retrial expected in November.
For Rockstar, the official schedule has not changed. The company’s own site still lists Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look for August 27, with the game itself due on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Red Reactions will not link to, embed or reproduce the leaked footage.
