Hitomi Ueda, Minori Suzuki and Sumire Uesaka lead the cast of MURCIÉLAGO, the TV anime scheduled to begin in January 2027 in Japan. The production’s October 21 Japanese-site updates reveal their roles, a character-voice teaser and a new visual featuring Kuroko, Hinako and Chiyo.

The new information is the cast and promotional material. The official site had already announced the January window on August 23; this is not a newly fixed premiere date. No precise broadcast day or hour is supplied by the checked announcements.

Who voices Kuroko, Hinako and Chiyo?

The official cast announcement confirms:

CharacterJapanese voice actorRole in the official character descriptions
Kuroko KoumoriHitomi UedaA former death-row inmate who becomes a state-sanctioned executioner.
Hinako TozakuraMinori SuzukiKuroko’s partner and watchdog, known for extraordinary driving skills.
Chiyo YanaokaSumire UesakaKuroko’s girlfriend and the daughter of a yakuza leader.

Those descriptions establish the central relationships, rather than revealing what happens in an unaired episode. The production’s introduction follows Kuroko and Hinako as dangerous cases bring them into conflict with criminals.

The official teaser and new visual

The teaser announcement identifies the video as the first preview of these three characters’ voices. The official upload is from NBCUniversal Anime/Music; the 34-second video is embedded below.

The new visual places Kuroko with a pistol, Chiyo with a katana and Hinako on a bicycle against contrasting city backdrops. It is official anime artwork, rather than a frame presented as evidence of a particular episode’s plot. The complete portrait composition appears above without cutting off the characters or title.

When and where will MURCIÉLAGO stream?

January 2027 is the Japanese broadcast window. It should not be expanded into a specific day, a common worldwide unlock hour or availability on every streaming platform.

AMC Global Media’s July 6 announcement, reporting its Anime Expo announcement on July 4, confirms an exclusive HIDIVE simulcast in six territories:

  • United States
  • Canada
  • United Kingdom
  • Ireland
  • Australia
  • New Zealand

That is the licensed territory list in the distributor’s announcement. It is not worldwide HIDIVE coverage, and it does not supply a precise streaming premiere time. Dates or platforms beyond those territories remain unestablished by these sources. The release calendar records the Japanese window at month precision.

Who is making the anime?

The series adapts Kana Yoshimura’s manga, published by Square Enix under Young Gangan. The official English staff credits name Takashi Naoya as chief director, Matsuo Asami as director and Kiyoshi Tateishi as character designer, with animation by SATELIGHT and Staple Entertainment.

The checked updates do not announce an episode count, a dubbed-language lineup or an exact premiere day. The cast above is the confirmed Japanese voice cast. For further announcements, follow the official production site and our anime coverage.
