A24’s first official Slayground promo confirms the title, a haunted-attraction setting and a “this fall” release window for Jeremy Saulnier’s new film. It does not reveal an exact theatrical date or explain the countdown on RunLikeHell.com.

What the Slayground promo actually shows

The short video is presented largely through fixed security-camera views inside a Halloween attraction. Visitors move through dark corridors while costumed performers, props and sudden effects blur the line between staged scares and a genuine emergency.

That presentation confirms the attraction as an important location. It does not establish who the visitors are, which images occur in sequence or whether every apparent threat belongs to the film’s central plot. A24 has not published a full synopsis or character guide alongside the upload.

The campaign sends viewers to RunLikeHell.com. The site identifies itself as Slayground and labels its timer “Countdown to Slayground.” Its code currently targets October 20, 2026, at 9 a.m. Eastern Time. Neither the site nor A24’s video says that endpoint is the movie’s release date. It could mark another trailer, ticket launch or campaign reveal, so October 20 should not be presented as a confirmed theatrical opening.

Trade and industry reporting connects Slayground to the A24 project previously known as October. Jeremy Saulnier wrote and directed that Halloween-set production, with Cory Michael Smith reported in the lead ensemble alongside Chase Sui Wonders and Sophie Wilde.

The reported cast also includes Imogen Poots, James Badge Dale, Matty Matheson, Young Mazino and Stephen Root. A24’s current promo does not display a cast list or identify any character, so those names remain production reporting rather than information newly announced in the video.

That distinction also applies to the more detailed fugitive-thriller premise reported under the earlier title. The promo’s security footage cannot confirm character identities, crimes or who may be pursuing whom. It establishes a location and mood while withholding the conventional story setup.
