Baywatch Full Trailer: Stephen Amell's Hobie Leads FOX's January 2027 Reboot
FOX's new Baywatch trailer introduces Stephen Amell's Hobie and Jessica Belkin's Charlie. Check the confirmed cast and January 2027 US premiere window.

FOX has released a full trailer for its new Baywatch, with Stephen Amell playing lifeguard captain Hobie Buchannon and Jessica Belkin playing his daughter, Charlie Vale. The US premiere window remains January 2027. The October 13 upload expands the campaign beyond the earlier teasers; it does not announce an exact premiere day.
Amell is Hobie, not Mitch
The family connection matters more than the familiar red rescue gear. According to FOX’s series synopsis, Hobie has followed his father Mitch into the job and now commands his own lifeguard team. Charlie’s arrival upends that arrangement: she wants to carry the Buchannon legacy into another generation.
That makes Amell’s role the adult version of the original show’s legacy character, rather than a recasting of Mitch. Belkin’s Charlie supplies the new father-and-daughter relationship at the center of FOX’s premise. The rescue work and personal relationships belong to the same workplace drama; the promotional material does not establish the outcome of either storyline.
The confirmed lifeguard cast
FOX’s announced lineup identifies the following roles:
| Performer | Character |
|---|---|
| Stephen Amell | Hobie Buchannon |
| Jessica Belkin | Charlie Vale |
| Shay Mitchell | Trina |
| Hassie Harrison | Nat |
| Thaddeus LaGrone | Brad |
| Noah Beck | Luke |
| Brooks Nader | Selene |
David Chokachi returns as Cody Madison in a recurring role. FOX also lists Livvy Dunne as recurring character Grace. Those are separately documented parts of the cast, rather than identities inferred from quick shots in the trailer.
FOX Entertainment and Fremantle co-produce the series. Matt Nix serves as showrunner, and McG directed the premiere. The network’s original straight-to-series announcement ordered 12 episodes for the first season.
When and where does the new Baywatch premiere?
The current FOX show page and the official trailer give January 2027 for FOX’s US launch. Neither checked source supplies an exact day or broadcast time.
International readers should keep that territory distinction: the US network’s window does not establish a January premiere on a broadcaster or streaming service in every other country. No country-by-country schedule is supplied by these announcements.
