Football Manager 27 Is Free October 29–November 3: How to Play

Football Manager 27’s free Launch Preview begins October 29, 2026 at 18:00 GMT / UTC and ends November 3 at 18:00 GMT / UTC. It gives PC and Mac players five days to try the game before its November launch, without committing to a purchase.

Sports Interactive’s announcement names Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store. Game Pass access is also available through specific paid subscriptions. This is temporary access, not a free copy to keep.

Which version can I play?

The Microsoft listing identifies the desktop game for PC and handheld play. The Xbox subscription name does not make this an Xbox-console preview. The announced offer covers the PC/Mac game; it does not establish a free window for PS5, Xbox consoles or mobile versions.

How to download it when the window opens

Visit FM27’s normal listing on your eligible storefront once the preview starts and download it there. Sports Interactive says no additional registration is required. Use your usual store account; there is no requirement to pre-order just to try the five free days.

As of October 25, the storefronts still present the game as an upcoming release. A wishlist option now should not be mistaken for early access to the preview.

The clock is the same internationally, but the calendar date changes by timezone. SEGA’s Asian announcement gives 02:00 Singapore time on October 30 through 02:00 on November 4, equivalent to the UTC window above. Check your country’s listing for availability.

What can I play, and will saves transfer?

The official FAQ says the preview includes all modes and features, with no separate cap on career progress during those five days. It is a near-final build rather than a completed-release guarantee: Sports Interactive warns that some licensing information remains provisional and some club or player assets may be missing.

Careers begun during free access can continue through the paid Launch Preview and into the full release. There is no need to start the save again.

What happens after November 3?

Free storefront access stops at 18:00 UTC on November 3. Continuing before full launch requires a qualifying pre-purchase through a SEGA-approved digital retailer, or an eligible continuing Game Pass subscription. The pre-purchase window opens alongside free play on October 29, with an announced 10% offer through approved retailers.

The English announcement and current Steam listing give November 10, 2026 for full launch. SEGA notes that timezone differences can make that November 11 in some regions; use the local platform listing when planning your start.
