Frisco King Sets December 18 Premiere: Samuel L. Jackson's Tulsa King Spinoff
Frisco King starts December 18 with two episodes. The eight-part Paramount+ series brings back Samuel L. Jackson's Lee Washington, with a Stallone special appearance.

Frisco King premieres on Paramount+ on Friday, December 18, 2026, with two episodes, followed by weekly Friday releases. Samuel L. Jackson reprises Russell Lee Washington Jr., the Tulsa King character now getting his own Texas-set series.
Paramount’s October 15 US guide confirms an eight-episode first season. The Australian announcement followed on October 16. Those sources establish the date in their respective markets; neither supplies one worldwide unlock hour.
What is Frisco King about?
The official premise follows a New Orleans gangster arriving in Frisco, Texas, where apparently respectable suburbia offers opportunities for his criminal enterprise. Lee builds his operation with a younger protégé, a driver and other associates, with greater rewards bringing greater exposure.
Frisco is the story’s setting; Fort Worth is the filming location identified in Paramount’s guide. The project was previously called NOLA King, reflecting Lee’s New Orleans background. That earlier title does not mean the announced series is set entirely in Louisiana.
How does it connect to Tulsa King?
Jackson is returning to a role introduced in Tulsa King Season 3, rather than playing a newly renamed version of Dwight Manfredi. Paramount’s guide explains that Lee and Dwight knew each other in federal prison.
Sylvester Stallone is announced for a special appearance. That is narrower than a regular co-starring role: the checked announcements do not specify how many episodes he appears in. Our Tulsa King Season 4 and Season 5 guide covers the parent series separately.

The teaser is promotion for the forthcoming series; it does not establish an additional crossover commitment or a critical verdict. The release calendar records the sourced December premiere.
