Just Like Mona Lisa is set for a 2027 television broadcast, with a new main trailer, visual and seven additional performers announced on October 21. The production’s official trailer announcement also reveals imase as the ending-theme artist. No exact premiere day or international streaming platform has been announced in these sources.

The new trailer and visual

The first main trailer is linked directly by the production site and uploaded by CyberAgent ANIME. It introduces the adaptation’s promotional presentation and previews the ending theme; it does not establish an episode count or an overseas simulcast deal.

The October 21 visual announcement introduces protagonist Hinase Arima, childhood friends Ritsu and Shiori, and classmates in framed portraits. The hero here is that main visual, rather than an older teaser or invented anime artwork.

Which voice actors are confirmed?

Chika Anzai voices Hinase Arima, as listed on the official English staff-and-cast page. The seven additional performers are Yoshino Aoyama, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Daisuke Sakuma, Chiharu, Kakeru Hatano, Haruna Mikawa and Shion Wakayama.

The checked cast list does not pair those seven names with individual characters. The newly published character profiles should therefore not be used to invent actor-to-role mappings.

What is the story’s premise?

The official English introduction describes a fictional world in which people are born without gender and later choose one. Hinase continues to live without making that choice, while childhood friends Ritsu and Shiori have chosen theirs. The coming-of-age story explores affection, self-understanding and the uncertainty of choosing a future.

That is the manga’s fictional premise, rather than a general claim about how real people experience gender. The production describes an adaptation of Yoshimura’s manga; it has not specified the complete volume or chapter coverage here.

What does the 2027 window cover?

The production announces a 2027 broadcast window for the Japanese TV anime, with no month, day, channel schedule or episode total established in the checked announcement. No worldwide streaming service or country-by-country licensing schedule is confirmed. A news outlet reporting on the anime would not, by itself, establish that outlet’s affiliated streaming service has licensed it.

For other SHAFT projects, our August 31st Long Summer report covers a separate adaptation. The release calendar retains Mona Lisa’s year-only precision.
