Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong III Heads to Earth-3 in Spring 2027
The third Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong comic heads to Earth-3 in spring 2027. Here is the Crime Syndicate premise and what remains unannounced.

Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong is returning for a third volume in spring 2027, with Earth-3’s Crime Syndicate and that world’s versions of Godzilla and Kong at the center of the announced premise. The news came from the October 10 Jim Lee & Friends panel at New York Comic Con, according to AIPT’s on-site report.
Bleeding Cool’s same-day coverage also identifies the third crossover’s Earth-3 setting. The announcement provides a direction and release window; a creative team, issue count and exact launch date have yet to be established in the checked reports.
Who are Earth-3’s Crime Syndicate?
Earth-3 is DC’s world of inverted morality. Its familiar superhero identities belong to villains, with the Crime Syndicate occupying the place readers would normally associate with the Justice League. DC’s own Earth-3 guide describes that reversal and the team’s members.
Ultraman, Owlman and Superwoman are useful starting points for understanding the concept: counterparts to Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman with very different moral allegiances. DC’s broader roster also includes Power Ring and Johnny Quick. Those names explain the established group, rather than confirming an individual cast list for volume III.
The NYCC reports extend the Earth-3 idea to versions of Godzilla and Kong belonging to that world. Their designs, personalities and relationships with the Syndicate have not been detailed. The setting alone does not settle which monsters will oppose which characters or how faithfully the story will apply Earth-3’s reversals to them.
How does this follow the first two crossovers?
The first Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong brought DC’s heroes into conflict with Titans from the MonsterVerse. DC’s collection description places the Legion of Doom’s interference behind the collision between worlds.
Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 expanded that premise through Amanda Waller, Task Force X and hybrid Titans, while sending the Justice League toward the MonsterVerse’s Earth and Hollow Earth. Its official collected edition went on sale on April 28, 2026; the complete cover above is archival artwork from that collection.
Volume III’s reported hook shifts attention to the Crime Syndicate’s world. That gives the next installment a distinct starting point within the crossover, while leaving room for DC to explain how it follows the earlier stories. The artwork used here identifies that existing series and its central heroes and monsters; it does not show the newly announced Earth-3 versions.
When will volume III launch, and who is making it?
Spring 2027 is the announced window. A specific month or on-sale day has not been provided in the inspected panel coverage. Readers planning a purchase should wait for issue solicitations before treating a particular date, price or format as final.
The new creative team and number of issues also remain unannounced in those reports. Brian Buccellato and Christian Duce’s association with the earlier books is established by DC’s listings, but those credits cannot yet be carried forward to volume III.
This is a comic-book announcement. The checked material does not establish a film adaptation or define the new story’s relationship to the MonsterVerse movies’ continuity. Follow our Comics section for further publishing coverage as DC releases those details.
