Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara Reveals New Teaser and Coco–Gira Art
Toei and Tsuburaya's Kaiju Decode reveals Maru and Coco's voices in a new teaser. See the official Coco–Gira visual and what the planned 2027 release currently confirms.

Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara has released a new teaser and a Coco–Gira key visual, with the anime still planned for 2027. The official project’s October 18 news updates introduce the voices of Maru and Coco in the new footage. They do not announce a month, exact premiere date or international distributor.
The update gives the two leads a clearer presence beyond the earlier production announcement: Aya Yamane voices Maru, while Karin Takahashi voices Coco. The project is from Tsuburaya Productions and Toei Animation.
Where can you watch the new teaser?
The official Toei Animation upload, linked from the October 18 announcement, is the new 30-second teaser. Its Japanese title identifies it as a promotional preview for the planned 2027 release.
The production says the clip uses animation from the new work and presents the leads’ character voices for the first time. That is a claim about this new preview, rather than a claim that Kaiju Decode has never released footage before. ORICON’s October 18 report independently identifies the voiced teaser and the accompanying visual.
What does the Coco–Gira artwork show?
Coco reaches toward the enormous kaiju Gira, whose face dominates the composition. Her outstretched hand and the contrast in scale give the image its focus. The full official artwork above keeps the characters, title, staff credits and 2027 notice visible.
That gesture fits the announced character setup: Coco wants to live alongside kaiju. It is promotional artwork, however, and does not establish how a particular encounter ends or reveal a complete character arc.
The official site’s news heading numbers this visual differently from its accompanying body text. Calling it the new October visual avoids treating that inconsistent numbering as a separate release.
How do Maru and Coco’s worlds differ?
Toei’s October 2025 production announcement places the story around City and Zone. Human society has separated itself from dangerous land inhabited by extraordinary creatures; the story brings together young people from those contrasting environments.
Maru hunts kaiju to earn a living, while Coco, an Aidara girl associated with the Zone, seeks coexistence. Their meeting supplies the central tension. The earlier announcement also describes the broader Kaiju Decode project, which has included short animation, virtual-reality animation and a mixed-reality game. The Ring of Aidara is a new development within that project.
The current credits name S/N as director and Katsuie Shibata as screenwriter. Sei Nakashima and Masatsugu Saito handle character designs, Masayuki Goto designs the kaiju, and ARECT and Toei Animation produce the animation.

Sakai Film Office’s official English introduction describes The Ring of Aidara as a new animated film. That earlier project page establishes the format; the current production site’s 2027 notice supplies the updated release window. The film label does not establish a global theatrical rollout, and coverage by a streaming company’s news desk does not establish streaming rights. Our release calendar records the year without inventing a day or month.
