Kingdom Hearts Collection [I–III] launches October 8, 2026, on Nintendo Switch 2, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Switch 2 gets native versions rather than the older Cloud editions. Before buying, check storage, your digital discount entitlement and the save-transfer information: Nintendo Australia estimates 131 GB, while Square Enix’s Japanese physical listing requires at least 138 GB of free space.

What is included — and what is playable?

The bundle combines three collections, also sold separately. Square Enix lists these contents:

CollectionPlayable contentFilm or cutscene content
HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIXKingdom Hearts Final Mix, Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Birth by Sleep Final Mix358/2 Days and Re:coded HD cutscene compilations
HD 2.8 Final Chapter PrologueDream Drop Distance HD; 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A fragmentary passage –χ Back Cover movie
Kingdom Hearts III + Re MindKingdom Hearts III and Re Mind DLCNo separate story-film title listed

It is not ten fully playable games: three named story components are viewing experiences. Kingdom Hearts IV is not included; our Kingdom Hearts IV guide covers that separate project.

Native Switch 2 games, downloads and storage

Nintendo explicitly identifies the new Switch 2 versions as native. They are locally installed games, rather than the original Switch editions that streamed gameplay. Nintendo’s separate Save Data Cloud feature concerns save backups; it does not make a native game a Cloud-streamed edition.

The 131 GB estimate comes from Nintendo Australia’s bundle listing. Square Enix’s Japanese store identifies its physical Switch 2 edition as a game-key card: the software downloads when first used, requiring internet access and at least 138 GB free, with possible additional space for updates.

Those figures describe different regional listings and different kinds of storage notice. Neither is a measured final install size for every edition. Do not assume the physical package contains all game data on the card or that 131 GB free will satisfy the Japanese key-card requirement. Check your regional edition and its current download instructions before purchase.

Who gets the 50% digital discount?

Square Enix offers eligible owners of corresponding digital Switch Cloud, PS4 or Xbox One versions a 50% discount on the specified new digital editions. This is a paid purchase at a discount, not a free upgrade or proof that a physical copy qualifies.

For the full Switch 2 bundle, Nintendo UK specifies ownership of all individual Kingdom Hearts Cloud titles, or Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud. Owning one Cloud collection alone does not establish eligibility for half-price access to the entire bundle.

Per-title offers and full-bundle offers therefore need separate checks. Confirm that your purchasing account and regional store display the entitlement before paying. We have not verified Swedish kronor prices, account-specific discounts or a Swedish offer expiry date.

Can older Cloud saves transfer?

Square Enix’s Japanese product page confirms that Switch Cloud-version saves can transfer to the download editions. It does not establish that migration happens automatically, nor does that statement confirm transfers from PS4 or Xbox One.

The page links to Square Enix’s Cloud support information. Check the instructions for your edition before abandoning the older version. The exact Swedish account requirements and transfer steps have not been independently verified here.

When do the old Cloud versions stop working?

The Japanese page says new sales ended June 9, 2026, at 23:59, while existing Cloud versions remain playable until June 9, 2027, at 23:59. These are notices on the Japanese site; the displayed text does not establish a worldwide shutdown at midnight Swedish time.

For existing owners, loss of new sales and loss of play access are different events. The native release offers an alternative, but it does not make an old Cloud license permanent. Verify the service notice applicable to your region.

Steam, bonuses and the demo

Square Enix says the Steam bundle already exists as Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece. October 8 is not a first Steam release. If you already own these collections, compare the content you have with the edition you are considering before buying the same stories again. We have not benchmarked the new versions.

Purchasing Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind or the collection provides the listed platform Keyblade: Long Night for Switch 2, Midnight Blue for PlayStation, Phantom Green for Xbox and Dead of Night for Steam. Square Enix labels these purchase bonuses, rather than universally preorder-only extras.

The official Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind demo has two playable sections. Square Enix confirms that the first section’s save carries to the full game; that is not a promise of save transfer from both sections or demos for every game in the bundle.

The announcement establishes the console launch and edition contents. Swedish pricing, final local storage requirements, physical packaging, discount entitlement and regional Cloud-service timing still require local checks. Our release calendar records the announced date with that regional context; browse Gaming for other release guides.
