Netflix's Pride & Prejudice Sets December 3 Premiere — New First Look at Elizabeth Bennet, Mr. Darcy and the Cast

Netflix’s Pride and Prejudice finally has an exact date. The streamer confirmed the six-part limited series will premiere December 3, 2026, replacing the broad “fall 2026” window that had stood since the show was first announced — and released a new batch of first-look images showing the full Bennet family and supporting cast in costume for the first time.

October 28, 2026. Netflix has since published the full trailer. Tudum’s cast page, updated the same day, now assigns the supporting roles this report could not label in September, and Tudum describes the adaptation as faithful while also leaving room for overlooked plotlines. What’s Newly Confirmed

Netflix’s own Tudum article states plainly that Dolly Alderton and director Euros Lyn’s series “will premiere Dec. 3.” That’s a meaningful upgrade from the vague seasonal window Netflix had given previously, and it’s the reason this counts as real news rather than a recap of what’s already been reported.

The new images go beyond the February teaser’s brief glimpses of Elizabeth and Darcy. They show the full ensemble in period dress for the first time, including a group shot of the Bennet family — Mrs. Bennet and her five daughters — walking together through a field, giving the clearest visual sense yet of how the show is styling Austen’s central family as a unit.

Who’s Playing Whom

As of the September first look, Netflix had confirmed Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet, Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy, Olivia Colman as Mrs. Bennet, and Rufus Sewell as Mr. Bennet, and it had named Freya Mavor, Jamie Demetriou, Daryl McCormack, Rhea Norwood, Siena Kelly, and Louis Partridge without a complete role chart. That chart now exists. The October 28 Tudum cast page assigns the sisters and the rest of the company. Mary Bennet is Hopey Parish and Kitty Bennet is Hollie Avery. The Creative Team

Dolly Alderton — the bestselling author of Everything I Know About Love — writes the series, and Euros Lyn, who directed Heartstopper, is at the helm. Netflix’s own framing leans into the idea of a new generation encountering Austen’s story: Alderton has said she wants to “reintroduce these hilarious and complicated characters to those who count Pride and Prejudice as their favorite book — and those who are yet to meet their Lizzie and Mr. Darcy.” That’s Alderton’s own description of her approach, not an independently verified claim about how closely the series follows the novel.

Corrin has called playing Elizabeth Bennet “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” saying: “To be able to bring this iconic character to life, alongside Olivia and Jack, with Dolly’s phenomenal scripts, is truly the greatest honor.”

What Netflix Still Hasn’t Said

The episode count is confirmed at six. Netflix still has not said whether those six episodes drop all at once on December 3 or roll out weekly. The September claim that supporting roles at Longbourn were unassigned is no longer true. See the October 28 update above.

A New Take on a Familiar Story

This is a new adaptation of Jane Austen’s 1813 novel, not a sequel to an earlier film or serial. In September, the new stills and Netflix’s statements did not support a claim about specific scene changes. Tudum’s October 28 trailer article now describes the series as faithful to the novel and accurate to the period, while also saying the six-episode form leaves room to go further into overlooked plotlines. That is still not a list of changed scenes.
