SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada will end its current online service in May 2027 or later, but Bandai Namco plans to keep the game playable in an offline PvE extraction-shooter version. Existing owners are expected to receive that version without buying the game again. Players who want eligible online data and purchased items to follow them must complete a migration step while the service is still available; Bandai Namco says it will explain the exact process before it opens.

When does SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada shut down?

Bandai Namco’s September 26 schedule gives May 2027 or later as the window for the online-service end and start of the offline transition. It does not set a shutdown day. The publisher plans to announce the precise timing in March 2027. Until then, an exact server-closure date is unknown.

The existing online PvPvE service remains the current game until that change. Bandai Namco’s plan is for an offline PvE extraction shooter afterward, with functions that need the online service unavailable. The full offline feature list has not yet been published, so it would be premature to promise that every current activity survives.

Do current owners have to buy the offline version again?

According to Bandai Namco’s official FAQ, current owners are planned to get the offline update without an additional charge. The publisher says physical-edition owners should be able to use their game disc together with the offline update data. These are its announced plans for the transition, not a new product purchase requirement.

Will online save data carry over?

Only if the player completes the designated transfer procedure. Bandai Namco says players will need to start the online game while connected to the internet during a specified migration period, then perform the required save operation. The planned tool is expected in December 2026. Without that step, the offline version starts with new save data.

The FAQ names Magus outfits and CRADLECOFFIN or weapon skins as examples of server-side data intended for transfer. It also warns that eligible items bought with SYN COINS depend on completing migration in time. It has not provided a complete guaranteed list of transferable progress and possessions. Instructions, required game version and the way to confirm a successful transfer are promised before the process begins.

What happens to SYN COINS?

Bandai Namco will stop selling the paid currency at 00:00 Japan Standard Time on December 18, 2026. That is a sales cutoff, not a single expiration date for every balance. Coins already bought can be used for eligible in-game purchases within their individual validity periods; the publisher says paid coins expire 150 days after the first launch following purchase. Unused paid SYN COINS will not be refunded, according to the official notice.

Planned milestoneWhat it means
December 2026Data-saving and migration feature targeted for release; detailed instructions still to come.
December 18, 2026, 00:00 JSTSales of SYN COINS stop. Existing coins keep their own validity periods.
March 2027Bandai Namco plans to announce the exact online-service end timing.
May 2027 or laterOnline service ends and the offline transition begins; exact day unannounced.

Players should check the official notice and their own coin validity before buying more currency. The transfer of a purchased cosmetic item and the use of an unspent coin are different questions: the former may be possible for eligible data after migration, while the latter cannot be spent after its validity ends.

What is still undecided?

Bandai Namco has not finalized the precise shutdown day, the complete list of offline features, the full set of transferable data or the exact migration window and steps. Its next detailed notices matter most to current owners. This page can be updated when those first-party details arrive; no exact date should be inferred from the current month-long windows.
