Yuka Iguchi will voice Magical Penpengusa and Youko Hikasa will voice Matsu Daemon in the Wound & Bandage TV anime, also known as Kizuguchi to Houtai. The official October 30 announcement introduces the two Bandage Alliance members alongside the third theme visual and teaser. A key visual and main promotional video are scheduled for November 6, when the site says the characters’ voices will first be revealed.

The series already has a January 9, 2027 premiere in Japan. That date comes from the earlier broadcast announcement; the new casting reveal does not announce an international streaming service.

The new visual brings them together with Riyo Washizu, appearing under her online handle, Wamp Samurai. The official site describes the Bandage Alliance as an internet community whose members share Riyo’s unusual fascination with strong people showing vulnerability. That community is the focus of the third reveal, themed around companions.

What is Wound & Bandage about?

The official introduction follows Go Kiritani, a yakuza lieutenant ordered to look after his boss’s daughter, Riyo. He initially expects an undemanding assignment, before discovering her particular fascination. The site presents the adaptation as an unconventional romantic comedy and lists J.C.STAFF as its animation studio.

Hisako Kanemoto voices Riyo, while Chikahiro Kobayashi voices Go. Those lead roles were announced on October 16, before the two additions in the latest reveal.

When does the anime start in Japan?

The October 16 schedule lists three Japanese outlets. Its late-night Saturday labels need a calendar-date distinction:

OutletFirst scheduled time in Japan Standard Time
AT-XJanuary 9, 2027, at 23:00
ABC TV / TV Asahi’s ANiMAZiNG!!! blockJanuary 10 at 02:00, advertised as Saturday January 9 at 26:00
ABEMAJanuary 10 at 02:30, advertised as Saturday January 9 at 26:30

The AT-X slot is the earliest of those listed. The network and ABEMA times fall after midnight, even though the Japanese programme-day convention groups them with Saturday. These are Japan-specific broadcast and streaming details; the cited announcements do not establish an overseas release, English subtitles or a dub.
