007 First Light will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 18, 2027. IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios confirmed the date on October 14, giving Nintendo players a specific day for the version that remains in development.

This is a platform-specific release, rather than a new launch for every edition. The game has been available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC since May 27, 2026, according to IOI’s original launch announcement.

The video above comes from the game’s official 007 First Light channel. That upload is dated October 15, a day after the dated publisher announcement. IOI identifies the new footage as the game running on Nintendo Switch 2.

That platform identification is useful; it does not establish a final frame rate, resolution or comparison with other systems. The publisher’s announcement gives no verified performance figures, preload schedule or universal unlock hour.

Why is the Nintendo version arriving later?

IOI says it has allocated additional development time to the Switch 2 version and will continue work on optimization and performance before launch. It also says it brought hands-on builds to gamescom and Tokyo Game Show.

The studio describes the response to those demonstrations as positive. That is the publisher’s account of event feedback, rather than an independent test of the final Nintendo build or a guarantee that every technical target has been met.

What is confirmed about preorders and editions?

The October 14 announcement says Switch 2 preorders are open through the Nintendo Store, Amazon.com and selected retailers. Its preorder promotion names the GoldenEye Suit; the official trailer likewise advertises that outfit at launch for preorders.

IOI lists the Deluxe Edition with the Gleaming Lighter, Earphones, Dart Gun and Pen, plus the Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor and Gentleman Operator outfits. The announcement separately identifies an Amazon.com-exclusive Special Edition with the Classic Tuxedo.

Those are distinct edition descriptions. The Classic Tuxedo is not a reason to assume every retailer’s Deluxe listing is the Amazon Special Edition, or that all regional shops offer the same bonus package. Check the exact platform, edition and included items on the local listing before ordering. The references to suit access concern cosmetic content, not an announced early start to the entire game.

What still needs a local listing?

March 18, 2027 is IOI’s announced Switch 2 date. The checked release does not establish simultaneous unlocking in every country, a complete territory roster or final installation requirements. Local storefronts remain the source for country-specific availability and purchase terms. Our release calendar records this Nintendo date separately from the game’s earlier PS5, Xbox and PC launch.
