Jason Statham’s Adam Clay is heading back into the fight in The Beekeeper 2. Amazon MGM Studios released the official teaser on October 15, introducing a sequel whose published premise pits Clay against the organization that trained him. The announced cinema rollout is in January 2027, with different dates already listed for different countries.

This is the original Amazon MGM Studios upload, also presented with Miramax on YouTube. Its description gives January 2027 as the theatrical window; the more specific dates below come from the separately identified release sources.

The teaser’s sampled images include a battered Clay in a brown jacket and gunfire striking the side of a dark car. Those are visible pieces of action footage, rather than enough evidence to identify every opponent or reconstruct the film’s plot. The central conflict is clearer in the distributed synopsis.

What is the sequel about?

According to the distributor-sourced announcement carried by Vital Thrills, the Beekeeper organization has gone rogue and aims to control the government. Clay is pulled into a confrontation with the group that made him.

That changes the immediate target of his fight. It does not establish which characters survive, the identity of an unseen mastermind or how the conflict ends. The teaser should be read as promotion for that setup, without treating every cut as a confirmed sequence of events.

Release dates: January is not one worldwide date

The German date is one day earlier. It also appears on the official poster used with this article, so its January 14 lettering should not be mistaken for a US or worldwide date. Other territories need their own distributor confirmation.

The checked materials announce a theatrical release. They do not give a streaming premiere, digital-rental date or a confirmed platform release window.

Director and cast

Timo Tjahjanto directs, taking over from original-film director David Ayer. The sequel’s screenplay is credited to Kurt Wimmer and Zak Penn, from a story by Wimmer.

Alongside Statham, the announced ensemble includes Pom Klementieff, Jemma Redgrave, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Adam Copeland, Bobby Naderi, Yara Shahidi and Jeremy Irons. Character assignments should come from the production’s disclosures, rather than guesses based on a brief trailer appearance.

Vital Thrills reports a US MPA R rating for strong bloody violence and language. That is a US classification, not a rating shared by every country. Runtime and territory-specific streaming details remain unconfirmed in the checked sources.
