Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is available digitally on Nintendo Switch 2, and the edition matters if you want Tokyo Revengers fighters Mikey and Draken. Standard contains the base game; Starter bundles the base game with Season Passes 1, 2 and 3. Both crossover characters belong to Season Pass 3.

SNK announced the Switch 2 launch on October 22, 2026. This is a new platform release for the fighting game, whose original versions arrived on April 24, 2025.

Standard vs Starter on Switch 2

Digital editionIncluded contentSNK’s announced prices
StandardBase game onlyUS$19.99 / €19.99
StarterBase game and Season Passes 1–3US$29.99 / €29.99

Those are publisher-announced US-dollar and euro prices, rather than a promise that every regional eShop has the same price or offer. Check the listing on your console before purchasing. A base-only Standard purchase should not be mistaken for the bundle containing Mikey and Draken.

The Switch 2 launch announcement confirms handheld, tabletop and TV play. It also describes Smart Style’s simplified inputs and the traditional Arcade Style option; it supplies no basis for a performance comparison with other consoles.

What Mikey and Draken add

Manjiro “Mikey” Sano and Ken “Draken” Ryuguji are separate playable fighters. SNK credits Aleks Le and Yu Hayashi as Mikey’s English and Japanese voices, respectively, and Sean Chiplock and Katsuya Fukunishi as Draken’s.

The crossover announcement describes individual Arcade stories and a shared Episodes of South Town route. The shared story sends the pair to rescue Rock from Krauser. These are stories written for the game collaboration, not an announcement about the anime’s main continuity. Their alternate costumes take inspiration from Terry Bogard and Vox Reaper.

The official English-voice animated trailer below introduces the collaboration. Its animation should not be read as Switch 2 gameplay footage.

When is the physical edition coming?

SNK’s October launch notice lists a physical Starter Edition for January 21, 2027, with its price still unannounced. There is a territorial qualification: the September announcement explicitly assigns that date to Japan, with other regions to follow in later announcements. The October English notice does not provide a country-by-country replacement schedule.

Treat January 21 as the confirmed Japanese physical date, not a guaranteed worldwide retail launch. SNK also schedules the Switch 2 paid Mai Shiranui Classic Costume DLC for that day; its earlier preorder promotion is not a standing post-launch offer.
