Rockstar has released the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer and confirmed that electronic duo Justice is composing the game’s original score. The October 15, 2026 announcement pairs new Jason and Lucia footage with a new song, ahead of the game’s November 19 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

This is a new presentation, separate from the May 2025 video in our GTA VI Trailer 2 breakdown. Rockstar calls it the Launch Trailer; that label does not promise that no other videos will follow.

The verified original upload is from Rockstar Games and runs approximately 90 seconds. Rockstar says it was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5. That is the publisher’s capture statement, rather than independent testing of the finished game’s performance.

Jason and Lucia’s partnership remains the story’s center

The footage includes a close-up of a device being handled against a car window near the beginning, intimate shots of Jason and Lucia, and an embrace on a balcony overlooking the water around 1:07. Those moments put their relationship alongside the practical details of the world; they do not establish a playable relationship system or a specific mission’s rules.

Rockstar’s synopsis remains the firmer guide to the plot: a supposedly straightforward score goes wrong, bringing the pair into a conspiracy across Leonida and forcing them to depend on each other. It does not reveal how that conspiracy ends or where each trailer scene falls in the finished story.

Justice’s score and the new single are separate announcements

Rockstar explicitly identifies Justice as the composers of GTA VI’s original score. That is a broader role than supplying a licensed song for a trailer or an in-game radio playlist.

The new single is Flower in a Hurricane, featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. Rockstar also places it on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the official soundtrack. The announcement says more information about the game’s music, including an official score album, will follow.

The distinction is useful: the score is the music composed for the game, while an album track and the radio lineup are separate pieces of its music offering. Our GTA VI radio and podcasts guide covers the previously announced stations and presenters.

Release date, platforms and remaining questions

Rockstar’s current game page still gives November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The checked announcement does not set a PC release date, an exact worldwide unlock hour or a final console frame-rate target.

For the wider confirmed information on Leonida and the game, see our GTA 6 guide. This trailer’s new music credits and footage add to that picture without establishing every feature of the finished release.
