He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction now has a new date after missing its original launch window. The side-scrolling beat ‘em up is scheduled for February 4, 2027, according to the current Steam listing and a new release-date trailer from Clear River Games.

The announced platform list covers PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. Those are the digital platforms listed in current reporting. Limited Run Games’ present physical preorder page offers boxed editions for Switch, PS5 and Xbox, so the physical selection should not be mistaken for the complete digital platform list.

A new date after two delays

Bitmap Bureau first announced an April 28, 2026 release. Shortly before that date, Limited Run Games said the project needed more development time and moved it to summer 2026. That window also passed without a launch.

The February 4 date is now displayed on the official Steam store page alongside Clear River Games as the PC publisher. Gematsu’s October 12 report gives the wider console list and identifies Limited Run Games as publisher, while Limited Run continues to handle the currently advertised physical editions. Bitmap Bureau remains the developer and the game is made in collaboration with Mattel.

No territory-specific unlock hour has been announced. The date is therefore best read as the planned storefront release day, with local timing and availability still subject to each platform.

What the release-date trailer confirms

The short trailer keeps the focus on the game’s hand-drawn pixel-art combat. He-Man, Teela, Man-At-Arms and She-Ra are the four named playable heroes. Their move sets are distinct, and the footage also shows the game’s large sprites, screen-filling attacks and familiar Eternian locations.

Battle Cat is part of the action rather than background decoration. Current store copy says He-Man’s companion can fight alongside the heroes, and official screenshots show He-Man riding him while Teela advances on foot. Villains named in the latest material include Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Trap Jaw and Kobra Khan, with Orko also among the broader character roster.

The game supports single-player and two-player local co-op. Steam additionally lists Remote Play Together, but the underlying mode remains shared-screen play rather than a separately announced online campaign.

Why the stage count changed

The current Steam and Limited Run descriptions promise more than 13 levels. Bitmap Bureau’s February announcement described 12 action-packed stages. The companies have not explained whether the difference reflects added content, revised counting or a simple update to the marketing copy.

The newer store information is the safest guide to the launch version, but it should not be turned into an unsupported claim about what happened during the delay. The confirmed point is that the current description advertises a larger number than the earlier post.

Physical editions are a separate purchase choice

Limited Run’s US storefront currently lists a standard physical edition and a collector’s edition for Switch, PS5 and Xbox. Those offers have their own preorder window and regional shipping terms. They do not establish worldwide stock, pricing or release timing for every retailer.

For players who only want the game, the useful information is simpler: the planned release is February 4, 2027, the digital platform list includes both current- and previous-generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Switch and Steam, and local co-op is confirmed. Any later storefront change should be checked against the relevant platform page before purchase.
