— Checked Plott’s original October 27 Japanese release, official project site and playable teaser. November shorts, pre-season and spring 2027 main series are distinct.

Mecha Samurai begins daily vertical shorts on November 2, 2026, with a seven-episode pre-season starting November 20. The main series is planned for spring 2027. Those are three separate stages, rather than a November premiere for the main series.

Plott’s October 27 announcement introduces the original project with TV Tokyo and credits Shaman King creator Hiroyuki Takei with the original main-character concepts.

When does each part start?

StageAnnounced startWhat is confirmed
Daily short videosNovember 2, 2026Vertical videos on the official social channels
Pre-seasonNovember 20, 2026Episode one of seven, with further episodes released gradually
Main seriesSpring 2027A season window; no exact premiere day

The official project site also distinguishes the November pre-season from the spring main series. The announcement gives no universal upload hour, complete seven-episode timetable or international streaming schedule.

Where can you watch Mecha Samurai?

Start with the official Mecha Samurai YouTube channel. Plott also names the project’s video account on X, Instagram and TikTok for the short-video rollout. A separate X information account carries project updates.

These are the announced online destinations. The sources do not establish English subtitles, an English dub, access in every territory or a main-series simulcast service. TV Tokyo’s involvement does not supply a television timeslot by itself.

The official teaser is already available below; it is a preview, not the November pre-season’s first episode.

What did Hiroyuki Takei design?

Takei’s announced role is original concepts for the main characters. That credit does not make this a Shaman King adaptation or identify him as its director.

The premise follows samurai fighting mechanical supernatural beings in modern Japan. Protagonist Chiaki Kuzumi carries a sword containing an enemy creature’s power. The announced central cast is Kentaro Mashiro as Chiaki Kuzumi, Riona Yamashita as Sana Fujimiya, and Ayumu Mizukami as Kiyoharu Obana.

For now, November offers the shorts and pre-season; spring 2027 remains the main-series window. Follow our anime coverage and release calendar for separately sourced schedule updates.
