October’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog adds seven Extra/Premium games and two Premium classics. Sony’s October 14 announcement includes a returning Horizon Forbidden West and a day-one PS5 arrival for Mycopunk.

Every October 2026 catalog addition

All dates below are in October 2026. October 20 is Sony’s default; the marked exceptions are regional.

Sony warns that lineups vary by country. For unlisted territories, check the local PlayStation Store rather than assuming the US, UK or Japanese exceptions apply. No universal unlock hour is announced.

The Midnight Walk also supports PS VR2. Its earlier dates do not move the rest of the catalog forward.

What “day one” means for Mycopunk

This is its PS5 catalog debut, not its first appearance on any platform. Devolver’s official resources identify Pigeons at Play as the developer and record the original Windows PC release on July 10, 2025. The publisher’s investor presentation identifies that as an Early Access release, separate from the new console arrival.

Which subscription do you need?

PlayStation’s US plan comparison includes the Game Catalog with Extra and Premium. Premium adds the Classics Catalog; Extra alone does not include the two Classics entries above.

Plan names differ between markets. Sony’s Singapore comparison calls its top tier Deluxe, with Classics and game trials. Check your own country’s benefits and selection before upgrading; a regional plan name does not guarantee an identical library.

Is this the Essential Monthly Games lineup?

No. Our separate October Monthly Games guide covers that benefit. Extra and Premium also include Essential benefits, but Essential alone does not unlock the Game Catalog.

Do catalog games become yours permanently?

No. Sony requires an active qualifying subscription for catalog access, and games can leave the service. Adding or downloading a title does not turn it into an unrestricted purchase. Check both your membership and the current local listing when you want to play.
