HBO released the full trailer for The Gilded Age Season 4 on October 13, 2026, ahead of an eight-episode season. The US premiere is Sunday, November 1; HBO’s Danish and Portuguese announcements list November 2 on HBO Max. Those are distinct regional schedules, rather than interchangeable worldwide dates.

This is HBO Max’s original full-trailer upload, published October 13. Its description advertises November 1. The accompanying Danish broadcaster release supplies the new season’s premise, cast and local November 2 listing.

The Russell family faces the cost of Bertha’s rise

HBO’s official synopsis puts Bertha Russell’s social ascent and its consequences for her family at the center of Season 4. The announcement presents a victory with a cost, leaving the Russells to deal with the fallout rather than promising an uncomplicated new position in society.

Three other strands are named in that synopsis: Agnes van Rhijn sees an opportunity to recover her standing, Marian follows a path of her own, and Peggy seeks acceptance from her future in-laws. Those are the broadcaster’s announced story directions; they do not establish how any conflict resolves.

TVLine’s trailer coverage highlights tension around Bertha and George’s marriage and Marian’s engagement. Those preview questions should remain questions until the episodes provide answers.

HBO’s Portuguese press release also names Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, Blake Ritson, Ben Ahlers, Ashlie Atkinson, Dylan Baker and Kelley Curran. Julian Fellowes remains creator, writer and executive producer, with Salli Richardson-Whitfield directing and executive producing and Sonja Warfield writing and executive producing.

When does Season 4 premiere?

Both regional releases confirm eight episodes, but the checked announcements do not establish every territory’s catalog schedule or a single worldwide unlock hour. A local Monday listing should not be treated as a correction to the US Sunday date. Check the HBO or HBO Max listing serving your market for access details.

The new full trailer also should not be confused with the earlier teaser campaign. It is the October 13 preview accompanying the current synopsis; episode titles, runtimes and character outcomes are separate information that this release does not settle.
