Kill Jackie Trailer: Catherine Zeta-Jones Hunts the Assassins Coming for Her
AMC+'s first full Kill Jackie trailer sends Catherine Zeta-Jones after the hit squad sent to kill her. Here's what the trailer confirms, and where the series actually streams outside the U.S.

Catherine Zeta-Jones is back in assassin-thriller territory in AMC+’s first full Kill Jackie trailer, playing a former international drug smuggler who responds to a contract on her life by deciding to hunt the hit squad sent after her instead of running. The eight-episode series premieres October 2 in the U.S. on AMC+.
Jackie stops running and starts hunting
Zeta-Jones plays Jackie Price, who has spent roughly twenty years living anonymously as a wealthy art dealer after walking away from a past as an international drug smuggler. That quiet life ends when a squad of hired assassins known as the Seven Demons — not a supernatural threat, just very good killers — is sent to kill her. The trailer’s hook is that Jackie doesn’t go into hiding; she decides to track down and take out the Seven Demons before they reach her.
What the trailer actually shows
The footage backs that premise up with Zeta-Jones firing shotguns, pulling guns hidden inside artwork on home-raiding assassins, and chartering a private plane while on the move. It’s stylish, propulsive marketing footage, and it’s worth being precise about what it does and doesn’t establish: the trailer doesn’t confirm who specifically hired the Seven Demons, how many of Jackie’s confrontations end in her favor, or how the season’s plot actually resolves. Treat it as tone and premise, not a chronology of events.
Based on The Price You Pay
Kill Jackie adapts The Price You Pay, a novel by the Sunday Times bestselling author Nick Harkaway, written under his pen name Aidan Truhen. Harkaway serves as an executive consultant on the series, but that doesn’t guarantee every plot beat, character fate, or the book’s ending survive the adaptation intact — treat the novel as source material and inspiration rather than a spoiler guide for the show.

The cast and creative team behind it
Zeta-Jones is joined by Daniel Ings as Sam, Jackie’s tax lawyer and closest confidant; Sidse Babett Knudsen; Óscar Jaenada as Zigor; Darci Shaw as Gwen; Ron Perlman as Sean Senior; and a supporting cast that includes Hattie Hook, Raff Law, Enzo Cilenti, Christine Adams, Julian Rhind-Tutt and Bill Paterson. Tom Butterworth, known for Gangs of London, writes and showruns, co-writing the adaptation with Conor Keane; Damon Thomas, known for Killing Eve, is the lead director; and John Wick alum Peter Lawson is among the executive producers. That combined background explains the trailer’s mix of dark comedy, stylized violence and character-driven thriller plotting, though it’s still worth watching the finished show to see how those influences actually land rather than assuming the pedigree guarantees a specific result.
Where Kill Jackie actually streams
This is the part worth getting right, because the series doesn’t have one global home. In the United States, Kill Jackie is exclusive to AMC+, premiering Friday, October 2, with new episodes weekly. Fremantle, which handles international distribution outside the U.S., sold the series separately by territory: Prime Video holds it in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Canada, with Prime Video, AMC+ and Australia’s Stan all sharing the October premiere window. HBO Max, meanwhile, acquired the rights across Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, France and Belgium — but as of this trailer, Warner Bros. Discovery has only confirmed a 2026 debut for those markets, not the specific October 2 date. Kill Jackie is not an AMC+, Prime Video or HBO Max worldwide exclusive; it’s split by region, and viewers outside the U.S. should check which service actually holds their market before assuming an October 2 premiere.
