The Traitors Season 6 Cast: Every Confirmed Player, and What Peacock Has Announced

Peacock’s current official cast announcement identifies the next celebrity installment of The Traitors as Season 6, not Season 5. It is planned for early 2027, though Peacock has not announced an exact premiere date.

Why Peacock is leaning into this now

The cast reveal follows Peacock’s expansion of the Studio Lambert-produced format. The series has been renewed through Season 8, while host Alan Cumming has a new deal; NBC also launched The Traitors: New Blood, a civilian version of the format. Those moves explain the bigger franchise picture, but they do not establish any casting or gameplay details beyond the announced Season 6 lineup.

How the game actually works

The Traitors is based on the Dutch format De Verraders. Cumming selects a subset of players to be Traitors at the season’s start; the Traitors secretly eliminate Faithful players one by one while trying to stay undetected, and the Faithful attempt to identify and vote out the Traitors at roundtable gatherings. If any Traitors remain at the end, they split the prize money among themselves; if none remain, the Faithful split it instead. The series is executive produced by Cumming, Stephen Lambert, Mike Cotton, Sam Rees-Jones, Rosie Franks, Tim Harcourt, Jack Burgess and Darrell Olsen.

What’s still unknown

Peacock hasn’t set an exact premiere date beyond early 2027, and character/role assignments — who’s a Traitor and who’s Faithful — are determined during filming and aren’t something a cast announcement would reveal. Treat any premiere-date guesses beyond that window as speculation until Peacock confirms a date.
