Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies VR Brings Phoenix Wright to Meta Quest in 2027

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies VR is coming in 2027 for Meta Quest headsets and Meta VR Glasses. It is a VR adaptation of the 2013 game Dual Destinies, not a new mainline sequel. Developer and publisher AMATA K.K. is making it under license from Capcom. The company has announced a release year, but no exact date or price.

How Does Dual Destinies Work in VR?

The story still centers on Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes and the original game’s cases. AMATA says players will examine three-dimensional crime scenes from different angles, inspect evidence using motion controls or hand tracking, and challenge witness testimony in a VR courtroom. The announcement describes a planned 15-plus-hour single-player experience; that is a company estimate, not a measured playtime from our own testing.

The controls are the clearest change. AMATA says the game is fully playable with controllers, while hand tracking lets players point at witnesses and present evidence with gestures. A voice-activated “Objection!” option lets players call out the series’ signature response. Neither feature means the whole game is confirmed to work hands-free or by voice alone.

Which Headsets Are Listed?

AMATA’s product overview names Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, Quest Pro and Quest 2, plus Meta VR Glasses. The company lists distribution through the Meta Horizon Store. It has not announced PlayStation VR2, SteamVR or Apple Vision Pro versions. That is the current announced platform list, not a promise that the game can never appear elsewhere.

The listed languages are Japanese, English, French, German, Korean, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. AMATA has not announced a price, exact 2027 release date or detailed content comparison with every version of the original game.
