BlizzCon 2026: Every Blizzard Announcement Red Reactions Has Covered
A guide to everything Blizzard confirmed at BlizzCon 2026's Opening Ceremony across World of Warcraft, Diablo V, Hearthstone, Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm — with links to our full breakdown of each.

BlizzCon 2026’s Opening Ceremony, held September 12–13 in Anaheim, was the biggest cross-game showcase Blizzard has run in years — new reveals across World of Warcraft, Diablo, Hearthstone, Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm, plus news for StarCraft and Diablo IV that falls outside what we’ve covered here. This page is a map of everything Red Reactions has reported on in depth from that event, organized by game, so you can jump straight to whichever announcement you actually came here for.
World of Warcraft
Two separate, unrelated pieces of WoW news came out of BlizzCon 2026: a new “vanilla-plus” server branch, and a first-look teaser for the game’s next full expansion.
- World of Warcraft: Forever launches November 4 — the confirmed “Classic Plus” branch, restarting WoW in its first year but weaving in new stories, zones and a new playable race rather than replaying the original game unchanged.
- The Last Titan teaser, explained — what the “COLOSSAL” teaser actually shows, and how it connects to Northrend and the ongoing Worldsoul Saga.
Diablo
- Diablo V’s first three classes, explained — Demon Hunter and Monk return, joined by the new Plague Knight, plus what Blizzard confirmed about Runewords, the caravan system and Diablo V’s Spring 2029 target.
Hearthstone
- Reign of the Black Empire and the Monk class — Hearthstone’s next expansion arrives October 20, with its first new class in over six years following in March 2027.
Overwatch
- The Doctrine trailer, explained — Season 5’s date, the new Support hero Doctrine, and the Sombra rework Blizzard confirmed alongside it.
Heroes of the Storm
- Xal’atath joins Heroes of the Storm — the game’s first new hero in six years, revealed live during the Opening Ceremony.
Where to start
If you only read one of these, make it whichever game you already follow — each article stands on its own. For the single biggest surprise of the show, start with World of Warcraft: Forever; for the reveal with the longest runway before it matters, it’s Diablo V’s first classes, still years from release.
