— October 28 Bloober/Bandai releases and Steam DLC listing checked: December 3 for PC/PS5/Xbox Series; Switch 2 Q1 2027. US $9.99 announced; Steam requires base game. No exact global unlock hour supplied.

Cronos: Lazarus launches on December 3, 2026 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with an announced US price of $9.99. Bloober Team’s October 28 release gives Nintendo Switch 2 a separate Q1 2027 window.
The expansion is a prequel to Cronos: The New Dawn. It follows the Pathfinder before his transformation into the Warden, with a new pursuer and abilities built around faster combat.
Release date and platforms
| Version | Announced timing |
|---|---|
| PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S | December 3, 2026 |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | Q1 2027; exact day unannounced |
December 3 does not apply to Switch 2. The first-quarter window is less precise, and the announcement does not supply a universal unlock hour or establish identical storefront availability in every country.
The $9.99 figure is the publisher’s announced US price. Local prices and any platform-specific offers should be checked in the appropriate store.
Is the base game required?
The Steam DLC page explicitly requires Cronos: The New Dawn on Steam. Lazarus is additional story content, rather than a newly announced standalone game.
That Steam requirement should not be mistaken for a complete description of every console bundle or entitlement. Check the relevant console listing before buying an edition.
The Pathfinder, the Tracker and the Collective
Bloober describes a story set before the original game, exploring the Pathfinder’s past and the events that lead to his becoming the Warden.
The Tracker, an envoy of the Collective, is hunting him as he pursues a revival mission the organisation must not discover. Those are the announced setup and relationships; they do not establish an ending or settle every question about the Collective.
Teleportation, a decoy and the Gladius
The studio names teleportation for rapid repositioning and a decoy that distracts enemies while briefly making the Pathfinder invisible. A new weapon, the Gladius, is described as faster and deadlier than the original game’s dagger.
Bloober presents these additions as part of more aggressive combat. Their exact balance and usefulness remain matters for the released expansion; this report is not based on a hands-on session.
The official publisher page carries the story trailer and release information. Our release calendar records the dated PC and console DLC launch while retaining the separate Switch 2 qualification.
