DC All In Saga: Darkseid vs. the World #1 goes on sale October 28, 2026, according to DC’s US-market listing. The one-shot is written by Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson, with art by Sanford Greene and Yasmine Putri.

It is a chapter of the wider DC All In Saga, rather than another issue of an individual Absolute series. For newcomers, the useful background is the 2024 special that connected Darkseid’s actions to the emergence of the Absolute Universe.

That date is DC’s US comics-market schedule. It does not establish the arrival day at every international shop, or a single worldwide digital unlock time. Check your local retailer’s listing for the edition you intend to read.

What has DC actually revealed?

The publisher’s solicitation promises a look at Uxus, the being who becomes Darkseid, and his ambitions for creation. It places the story after the battle with King Omega while signalling that the wider conflict with Darkseid continues.

Those are promotional story details supplied by DC. The issue has not yet reached its listed on-sale date, so they should not be treated as a verified account of its ending or surprises.

What should I read first?

For the central setup, start with DC All In Special #1, published October 2, 2024. Snyder and Williamson’s special introduces the conflict with Darkseid alongside the new Absolute reality. It provides a direct route into the premise behind this larger saga.

If the universe distinction is the confusing part, our Absolute Universe explainer covers how that separate Earth relates to Darkseid. The regular DC Universe and the Absolute line run alongside one another; sharing the All In framework does not make all of their issues interchangeable.

Our Absolute Universe reading-order guide is useful if you want to follow those individual series. Treat it as an optional route into that line, rather than a requirement to finish every Absolute book before this one-shot.

DC’s announcement connects the stories, but it does not supply an exhaustive mandatory checklist for Darkseid vs. the World. The special is a practical background recommendation, not a claim that the new comic cannot be read on its own.

The separate New Gods one-shot follows in January

In its October 19 announcement, DC identifies DC All In Saga: The New Gods #1 as another part of this larger story. It is scheduled for January 13, 2027 through participating comic shops and digital retailers on DC’s US schedule.

That issue is written by Ram V and Alex Paknadel, with art by Joan Urgell. Its announced premise follows Mister Miracle and displaced New Gods seeking a place on Earth. It is a separate future release, not another title for the October Darkseid comic or a prerequisite you can already read.
