Xenoverse 2 Final Festival: Dates, Rewards and How to Link to Xenoverse 3
Check Xenoverse 2's October 27 update, October 30 Final Festival, Gold and Rainbow rewards, and the Bandai Namco ID steps for future Xenoverse 3 unlocks.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s tenth-anniversary update is dated October 27, 2026, followed by the Final Festival of Universes on October 30. The festival can earn eligible players outfits and medals that unlock different rewards in Xenoverse 3, provided they upload Link Data through a free Bandai Namco ID. Those sequel rewards cannot be claimed yet.
Bandai Namco’s October 25 announcement separates the update from the event. Its original trailer’s closing card labels both dates UTC. Neither supplies an exact activation hour, and the festival’s end date is not specified.
Three stages, with different requirements
| Stage | What it means |
|---|---|
| October 27, 2026 UTC: free update | New login-bonus rewards and special costumes. The Gallery of Time addition requires purchased Future Saga Chapter 4 DLC. |
| October 30, 2026 UTC: Final Festival | Returning rare items, increased Star Coins and eligible festival rewards in Xenoverse 2. |
| Xenoverse 3’s announced 2027 launch | Link Data rewards become eligible for redemption; detailed claiming instructions are still to come. |
The update and festival are not the same entitlement. In particular, a free patch does not make Future Saga Chapter 4 free. The current announcement lists Xenoverse 2 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC; it does not establish simultaneous installation availability on every storefront.
What the Final Festival offers
Bandai says the festival will offer 25 times the usual Star Coins and bring back hard-to-obtain items. Players can raise camaraderie with Trunks, the Supreme Kai of Time or Fu to unlock special illustrations. The announcement does not promise the return of every previous item or give a complete rewards-price list.
The publisher’s separate Link Data guide explains the specific festival-to-sequel rewards:
- Final Festival Uniform (Gold): earning it in Xenoverse 2 makes you eligible for the Martial Arts Festival Outfit in Rare Color Gold in Xenoverse 3.
- Final Festival Uniform (Rainbow): earn enough Glory Points to unlock it during the festival for the corresponding Rare Color Rainbow outfit in the sequel.
- Final Festival: Medal items: eligible medals can unlock up to 21 Acrylic Figures, depending on which medals you obtained. These are in-game display items in Xenoverse 3, not a promise of physical merchandise.
Participation alone does not guarantee every unlock. Each reward retains its own achievement and ownership requirements.
How to upload Link Data
The official guide gives this sequence:
- Create and verify a free Bandai Namco ID, or use your existing ID.
- Open Xenoverse 2 and select Upload Link Data from the main menu.
- Scan the displayed QR code and sign in to your Bandai Namco ID.
- On the confirmation page, check the selected platform, choose Link, and sign in to that platform account.
- Return to the game’s title screen, choose Upload Link Data again, and follow the upload instructions.
Linking an account and uploading its data are separate steps. The information packet records eligible achievements for rewards; the guide does not describe it as a complete character, inventory or save transfer.
Your Xenoverse 2 and Xenoverse 3 platforms do not have to match. Once the Link Data is uploaded, Bandai says it can unlock rewards on a platform where you own a valid copy of Xenoverse 3.
Upload deadlines and claiming limits
No Link Data upload deadline is currently specified: Bandai says the process can be completed at any time. That does not establish how long festival-specific achievements will remain earnable. Check the event’s own schedule when it opens.
The requirements include Link Data from a full version of Xenoverse 2, the relevant eligibility conditions, and ownership of a full version of Xenoverse 3 when claiming. Link Data can be updated repeatedly, but sequel rewards can be redeemed only once, without duplicate copies of the same item.
Bandai will explain redemption closer to Xenoverse 3’s launch and warns that requirements can change or rewards may be distributed separately later. The checked notices give 2027, with no exact sequel release date. Calling this the Final Festival also does not, by itself, announce a Xenoverse 2 server shutdown.
