The Moon on a Rainy Night is due to air in 2027. Its first promotional video, released October 7, introduces Iori Saeki as Saki Kindaichi and Sora Amamiya as Kanon Oikawa. The official anime website confirms the adaptation of Kuzushiro’s manga, with animation by CompTown and music by jizue.

The embedded PV is the original It’s Anime powered by REMOW upload linked from the anime’s website, not a fan reupload. The 91-second video introduces the two leads and their relationship; it does not establish how many episodes or manga chapters the adaptation will cover.

The official PV announcement says it supports CC captions in 17 language and regional variants, including English. These captions describe sounds and music as well as dialogue. The number counts regional variants such as the two Chinese scripts and two Spanish options; it is not a claim of 17 distinct languages or television distribution territories. Use the YouTube caption settings, or open the original video if the embedded player’s controls do not expose them.

Who are Saki and Kanon?

Kanon OikawaSora AmamiyaSaki’s classmate, who is hard of hearing and initially keeps her distance from others

The Saki and Kanon announcements give the casting and character backgrounds. Saki encounters Kanon before school begins, then meets her again as a classmate. Their growing closeness is the story’s focus, alongside how other people respond to Kanon’s hearing loss. Hard of hearing is the description used here; the announcement should not be flattened into a claim that Kanon cannot hear anything.

The music announcement confirms jizue’s involvement in the score. That credit is separate from any opening or ending song: the material checked here does not establish theme-song performers. Staff credits identify who is making the adaptation; they do not yet establish its faithfulness or the quality of its disability representation.

When and where can you watch the anime?

2027 is the announced year, not an exact premiere date. The official site and October 7 announcements checked here do not name a month, broadcast season, international streaming platform, episode count or adaptation endpoint.

English subtitles on a promotional video do not confirm an English-language streaming license. Likewise, coverage on an anime news site is not a streaming announcement. A distributor’s release notice is still needed before promising access in Sweden or elsewhere.

This is a first-trailer and cast guide, with no episode or manga-ending spoilers. Follow our Anime coverage for later premiere and platform announcements.
