The Wolf Among Us Remastered’s new story trailer reveals Bigby Wolf’s redesigned full werewolf form, ahead of the game’s October 29, 2026 digital launch. Telltale and PM Studios debuted the video during the October 20 ID@Xbox x IGN Showcase.

There is also an important platform change: the new publisher announcement lists PS5, Xbox One and PC for October 29, with Series X and Series S supported through backward compatibility. It says Nintendo Switch will arrive at a later date, replacing the earlier plan to include it in the October launch.

Bigby’s new look and the official trailer

The October 20 video from Telltale Games promotes Bigby’s first investigation and his struggle to keep the wolf in check. Its official thumbnail, shown above, depicts the redesigned full werewolf with a broad muzzle, exposed fangs and red eyes.

This is a new promotional look at a remaster of the original detective story, rather than an announcement of a new investigation. Bigby remains the sheriff of Fabletown, a hidden community of fairytale characters drawn from Bill Willingham’s Fables comics. No later story revelations are needed to understand the redesign.

What the remaster includes

Telltale’s official game page confirms the complete five-episode original story, with updated lighting, environments, character presentation and animation. The October 20 release also describes audio upgrades and a substantial set of extras.

The named additions include five playable Lost Scenes, an art gallery containing more than 100 images, and over an hour of behind-the-scenes interviews. Noir Mode lets players switch to a black-and-white presentation; Telltale had already discussed that mode before this trailer.

These are the publisher’s feature descriptions, not results of independent performance testing or a new Red Reactions review.

Which versions launch October 29?

VersionLatest announced timing
PC — Steam and Epic Games StoreOctober 29, 2026.
PlayStation 5October 29, 2026.
Xbox OneOctober 29, 2026; playable on Series X and Series S through backward compatibility.
Nintendo SwitchA later date, still unannounced in the October 20 statement.
Physical editionsEarly 2027; exact dates and further details remain pending.

The October 8 blog post included Nintendo Switch in the October 29 list. The newer release and the official trailer description now say Switch is coming later, so the older platform list should not be repeated unchanged. The digital launch date itself was already public before the new werewolf trailer.

The remaster is separate from The Wolf Among Us 2. Neither the new footage nor an individual storefront’s clock establishes one worldwide unlock hour for every version. Check the relevant local store for platform-specific availability as launch approaches.
