Wonder Woman #41 Starts Year of Wonder With Two Successive Teams
Wonder Woman #41 arrives January 20, 2027. Walter Simonson and Cian Tormey lead a four-issue arc, followed by Stephanie Williams and Elena Casagrande.

Wonder Woman #41 starts DC’s next creative handoff on January 20, 2027, with Walter Simonson and Cian Tormey. Their four-issue story will be followed by a six-issue arc from Stephanie Williams and Elena Casagrande as part of the publisher’s Year of Wonder plans.
DC’s announcement describes two successive teams on the continuing series. Williams and Casagrande are not the creators launching issue #41, and the change does not restart the title at #1.
How the Wonder Woman handoff works
| Stage | Creative team | Announced schedule |
|---|---|---|
| Wonder Woman #40 | Tom King and Daniel Sampere | December 16, 2026; conclusion of their run |
| Four-issue arc starting with #41 | Walter Simonson and Cian Tormey | Starts January 20, 2027 |
| Following six-issue arc | Stephanie Williams and Elena Casagrande | Follows that story, running through October 2027 |
The December date comes from DC’s earlier issue #40 announcement. As of October 22, that finale is still ahead. DC has not supplied a separate opening date for the Williams–Casagrande arc in the Year of Wonder announcement.
Diana challenges the Amazon Safety Act
The announced Simonson–Tormey story puts Diana’s campaign against the Amazon Safety Act at its center, with the aim of allowing Amazons to return to Man’s World. It is a premise for forthcoming issues, rather than an outcome readers have already seen on the page.
Ryan Sook supplies the main cover for #41. DC lists a 32-page issue at $4.99 US, with cardstock variants at $5.99 US; the announcement also names a foil variant without specifying its price. Those are solicitation details, not a guarantee of international shop prices or stock.
Where does it sit in DC’s line?
Readers following the numbered Wonder Woman series can continue from #40 into #41. A new team can be a useful point to sample a title, but DC has not promised here that the story will require no earlier context.
