Spice and Wolf: MERCHANT MEETS THE WISE WOLF Season 2 is scheduled for 2027. The new teaser announced on October 3 introduces Eve Bolan, with Romi Park confirmed as her voice, while Holo and Kraft Lawrence continue their journey north. Passione is producing the animation.

The release window remains a year, rather than an exact date. Neither the new teaser nor the current official announcements supplies a premiere month, episode count or separate international streaming schedule.

Watch the official Season 2 teaser

The 66-second video comes from TOHO animation’s official channel and is embedded by the anime’s own news page. It is footage for the second season of MERCHANT MEETS THE WISE WOLF, rather than a clip from the older Spice and Wolf anime.

The 2027 announcement dates back to August 31, alongside a second teaser visual. October’s PV adds animation and Eve’s casting announcement; it does not narrow that broadcast window.

Who is Eve Bolan, and where does the story go?

The official character profile describes Eve as a merchant Lawrence and Holo encounter in the port town of Lenos. She combines sharp commercial instincts with a willingness to take dangerous risks in pursuit of wealth. Her proposal to Lawrence concerns a potentially lucrative fur deal.

That gives the next journey a concrete business problem without revealing its outcome. The production’s story summary has the pair seek new trading opportunities, leave their wagon and travel by ship while heading north. It does not map those events to particular episodes or announce how many light-novel arcs the season will cover.

Park’s casting is a return to the role: the official announcement explicitly says she is playing Eve again. That continuity concerns the voice actor. It does not establish that this adaptation will reproduce the older anime scene for scene.

Who is making Season 2?

Jun Fukuyama returns as Kraft Lawrence, and Ami Koshimizu returns as Holo. The current production credits on the official site and in TOHO’s teaser description list:

RoleCurrent Season 2 credit
Chief directorsTakeo Takahashi and Hijiri Sanpei
DirectorsNobuyoshi Nagayama and Takahiro Majima
Character designSugimoto (杉本里菜) and Koji Haneda
Art directorKazuhiro Inoue
MusicKevin Penkin
Animation productionPassione

Sugimoto’s given name is retained in the official Japanese spelling because the production page does not provide an English reading. The roles above are the current Season 2 credits; Sanpei is listed as a chief director, not simply carried over under the previous season’s director credit.

Is a Season 2 streaming platform confirmed?

A separate international Season 2 streaming announcement is still unconfirmed in the official materials checked here. The Japanese 2027 broadcast announcement is not a worldwide simulcast schedule or a Crunchyroll licensing announcement.

The open questions are the premiere month and day, episode count, international platform and territories, streaming time, and dub plans. The cast and studio announcements settle who is working on the sequel, not when each region will be able to watch it.
