Everyone's Darling Has a Secret Anime Sets April 2027 Window, Reveals Cast and Staff

Everyone’s Darling Has a Secret is getting a TV anime beginning in April 2027. The official September 28 announcement confirms the month, with Reiji Kawashima as Hizashi Hiruno and Hikaru Tono as Rei Kuromiya. Gekko handles animation under director Hikaru Sato.

The announcement also introduces two members of Rei’s idol group and the principal production staff. An exact premiere day, broadcast slot and international streaming platform have not been announced in the current official material.

What the April 2027 window confirms

The Japanese announcement says television broadcasting starts in April 2027. It gives a month rather than a dated episode premiere or a simultaneous international release.

No specific April day should be treated as the premiere until the production supplies it. Likewise, an April Japanese broadcast window alone does not confirm that every country will receive the anime in that month.

A classmate’s idol life and an after-school secret

The manga follows Hizashi Hiruno, a serious, hardworking first-year student at an elite high school. His classmate Rei Kuromiya is academically gifted and works as an idol. After Hizashi accidentally discovers one of her secrets, the two begin spending time together after school.

That is the spoiler-light premise described by the publisher and official anime site. The anime’s Japanese title is 放課後のアイドルには秘密がある, commonly romanized as Houkago no Idol ni wa Himitsu ga Aru. The licensed English manga title is Everyone’s Darling Has a Secret.

The four announced voice actors

The official cast announcement names:

Aiiro Impulse is the idol group Rei belongs to. The character descriptions establish Sakura and Sora’s place in that group without revealing later relationship developments or manga arcs.

Gekko and the principal staff

The current official credits identify the following production team:

The studio name appears in Japanese as 月虹. These are production credits; the announcement does not yet establish how many manga chapters or volumes the adaptation will cover.

The original manga is available in English

Yen Press publishes Kashiko Amane’s manga under the English title Everyone’s Darling Has a Secret. Readers looking for the source material can use that title rather than a newly invented translation of the anime’s Japanese name.

The hero image is Hakusensha’s Japanese volume 8 cover, provided in its publisher press release. It represents the original manga and should be distinguished from the anime’s separately announced teaser visual. The English manga license also does not establish who will distribute the anime internationally.

Streaming, trailer and other announcements still to come

The official material reviewed does not yet provide an international streaming service, regional availability, episode count, opening or ending themes, or an official anime trailer/PV. The cast and teaser-visual announcement therefore cannot be treated as confirmation of a Crunchyroll or Netflix release.
