— October 28 publisher release and Nintendo recap confirm January 28, 2027. Publisher blog displays October 27; PS5, US $24.99, day-one Game Pass and later physical editions checked. No exact global unlock time.

Witchbrook is scheduled to launch digitally on January 28, 2027, and PlayStation 5 has joined its launch platforms. Chucklefish’s October 28 announcement also confirms day-one Xbox Game Pass availability and an announced US digital price of $24.99.

That is a calendar date, rather than a confirmed simultaneous worldwide unlock hour. Regional prices and individual storefront availability still need their own listings.

Which platforms get Witchbrook?

The publisher’s current fact sheet lists PC through Steam, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PS5. Nintendo’s Indie World recap separately confirms the January 28 date for both Nintendo systems.

PS5 is the addition in this announcement. Chucklefish credits PlayEveryWare with helping bring that version to the lineup.

The publisher says Xbox Game Pass from day one, but the announcement does not identify every eligible subscription tier or establish cloud access. Game Pass access and buying a standalone copy are separate routes; check the current plan and store terms before paying.

Price and physical editions

$24.99 is the announced US digital price. Chucklefish says other regional prices will be shared closer to launch. It has not supplied a universal currency conversion or a price guarantee for every territory.

A physical standard edition and collector’s edition are in development for after the initial digital release, according to the developer announcement. Exact physical release days, formats, supported platforms, retailer listings and preorder details have not been announced.

There is therefore no confirmed boxed edition to preorder from this announcement. January 28 should not be presented as the physical editions’ sale date.

School life and four-player online co-op

Developed by Chucklefish with Robotality, Witchbrook is a magical life-sim and social RPG set around Witchbrook College and the seaside town of Mossport.

The publisher describes classes and assignments in subjects including alchemy and tarot, exams that expand magical knowledge, friendships and romance, a witch business serving the community, and a cottage and garden to customise. Seasonal events and activities sit alongside college life.

You can play alone or with up to four players in online co-op. That does not establish cross-platform co-op, local split-screen or cross-save; those features are not confirmed in the checked announcement.

Watch Chucklefish’s release-date trailer

The trailer introduces more of the school and its ghostly chancellor, but this report is based on the publisher’s announced features rather than a hands-on session. Our Indie World article preserves the showcase context, and the release calendar records Witchbrook’s dated digital plan.
