Yaga Trailer: A Missing Heir, Baba Yaga Folklore and Different Streaming Dates

Yaga has an official full trailer and two confirmed regional streaming plans. The contemporary mystery thriller premieres with two episodes on October 23, 2026, on AMC+ in the United States. Sky lists October 31 for Sky and NOW in the UK and Ireland. Those are separate launches, not one worldwide date.

What Is Yaga About?

According to AMC’s synopsis, private investigator Rapp arrives in the coastal town of Whittock to investigate the disappearance of Henry Park, an heir to a powerful fishery. The case puts him at odds with local detective Carson and draws him toward university professor Katherine, a group of suspects and what AMC calls ancient magic.

The series reimagines the Baba Yaga myth in a modern setting. That description establishes a folklore influence; it does not identify any character as the legendary figure or solve Henry’s disappearance. The trailer builds a witchcraft-inflected mystery without confirming the culprit or the order of events.

Who Stars in Yaga?

Noah Reid plays Rapp, Hudson Williams plays Henry Park, Clark Backo plays Carson and Carrie-Anne Moss plays Katherine. AMC also lists Sheila McCarthy, Megan Follows, Ezra Franky, Patrick Gilmore, Katharine Isabelle and Hiro Kanagawa among the supporting cast. Moss is an executive producer as well as a cast member.

Kat Sandler created and wrote the series, adapting her own play. She is also its showrunner and an executive producer. David Frazee and Rachel Talalay are co-directors. AMC describes Yaga as eight half-hour episodes; its trailer uses Alanis Morissette’s cover of Donovan’s “Season of the Witch.”

When and Where Does Yaga Stream?

In the United States, Yaga begins Friday, October 23 on AMC+, with two episodes. AMC says new episodes arrive on Fridays and the season ends with a two-episode finale on November 27. The US announcement calls AMC+ the exclusive home; it does not announce a linear AMC broadcast.

In the UK and Ireland, Sky confirms an October 31 premiere on Sky and NOW. AMC and Sky describe it as a Crave Original, but their releases do not establish a Canadian launch date here. Other territories should check local listings when their distributors announce them.
