Junket Bank Isn't Premiering October 5 — No New Anime Release Date Announced
Junket Bank's October 5 anime premiere is off. Read the official delay reason, new-date status, confirmed CUE staff and cast, and streaming details.

Junket Bank’s October 5, 2026, anime premiere is off, and no replacement date has been announced. The production committee postponed the broadcast in its September 9 notice, citing scheduling circumstances in video production and the need for more production time. The notice announces a delay, not a cancellation.
If an older release-date article brought you here expecting episode 1 today, its October 5 listing has been superseded. There is no revised premiere day, month or season in the latest official announcement checked on October 5.
The October 5 schedule has been withdrawn
The official anime account’s earlier announcement set an October 5 Japanese launch on the TV Tokyo network. That was the former broadcast plan; the subsequent September 9 postponement notice takes precedence.
| Release question | Current verified answer |
|---|---|
| Does the October 5 premiere still apply? | No. The broadcast has been postponed. |
| Is there a new release date? | No replacement day, month or season has been announced. |
| Has the anime been cancelled? | The committee announced postponement and continued production, not cancellation. |
| Is it still a TV anime? | Yes; that remains the format on the official website. |
| Is an international streaming service confirmed? | No direct platform confirmation was found in the announcements checked. |
The official news index still lists the September 9 delay notice as its newest announcement. A date retained in an older trailer, report or search result should therefore be read as historical scheduling information.
Why was Junket Bank delayed?
The production committee attributes the change to scheduling circumstances in the video-production process. It says additional production time is needed to deliver an adaptation that brings out the original work’s world and appeal and meets viewers’ expectations.
The notice does not specify how long that extra work will take. It also does not announce a replacement broadcast window. The committee says the new timing will be posted on the official website and official social channels once decided.
CUE, Seiji Kishi and the confirmed cast
The official staff credits continue to identify CUE as the animation studio. The announced principal team is:
| Role | Credit |
|---|---|
| Original manga | Ikko Tanaka, serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump |
| Director | Seiji Kishi |
| Series composition | Makoto Fukami |
| Character design | Masanori Shino |
| Music | Taku Iwasaki |
| Animation production | CUE |
The current Japanese cast listed on the official site includes:
| Character | Voice actor |
|---|---|
| Shin Mafutsu | Soma Saito |
| Akira Mitarai | Rikuya Yasuda |
| Keiichi Shishigami | Wataru Hatano |
| Reiji Murasame | Daisuke Hirakawa |
| Haruto Hinagata | Koki Uchiyama |
Uchiyama’s casting announcement was published September 2, before the postponement. These production and casting credits remain available; they do not establish a new delivery date.
What is Junket Bank about, and where will it stream?
Tanaka’s manga follows Akira Mitarai, a young employee at Karasu Bank who is transferred to its unfamiliar Special Operations department. Beneath the bank he discovers a gambling operation and encounters Shin Mafutsu, an extraordinary gambler. The premise centers on psychological contests and the people drawn into the bank’s high-stakes system.
International streaming has not been directly confirmed in the sources checked for this article. Crunchyroll’s news coverage is not a streaming-license announcement, and Junket Bank is absent from its current Fall 2026 lineup. A simulcast time or English-dub schedule should be treated as unannounced until a platform or rights holder confirms it directly.
The next useful update is the committee’s replacement broadcast announcement. Check the official website for that decision; October 5 should not be used as an active release date. More verified adaptation and broadcast news is collected on the Anime hub.
