Marvel’s Wolverine got another major marketing beat at D23, where Disney debuted a new trailer for Insomniac Games’ upcoming PS5 action game.

The video is now publicly available through PlayStation under the title Marvel’s Wolverine - D23 Showcase Sizzle. Its official description puts Logan, Jean Grey and Team X against Bolivar Trask and other deadly enemies as the fight for mutant survival escalates.

Unlike some of D23’s closed-door footage, this one is already public, so Red Reactions can safely point readers to the official PlayStation upload.

The Release Date Isn’t New

The important distinction: D23 did not reveal the release date.

PlayStation had already announced on June 2 that Marvel’s Wolverine will launch on September 15, 2026 for PlayStation 5. That same State of Play also delivered an extended gameplay showcase, so the D23 video should not be described as the game’s first gameplay reveal.

Insomniac describes the game as a brutal, story-driven single-player action-adventure. PlayStation’s official FAQ also confirms that it is not an open-world game, separating it from the structure players may expect after Insomniac’s Spider-Man titles.

Logan Has His Own Voice

Liam McIntyre plays Logan/Wolverine in Insomniac’s version of the character. The game tells an original story built around Logan, Jean Grey, Team X and the threat posed by Bolivar Trask, with previously revealed enemies including the Reavers, The Hand and Lady Deathstrike.

The D23 trailer is therefore less of a giant reveal and more of a fresh reminder that one of PlayStation’s biggest remaining 2026 releases is now only a month away.
