Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Part 1, also named Update 1.72, is scheduled for October 15, 2026 as a free update. It adds Sportsland SUGO, six cars and new systems including Car Concierge. Polyphony’s October 3 announcement confirms the date after the trailer’s debut at Gran Turismo World Series Round 3 in Singapore.
Spec IV has two parts. The October release brings the first six cars and SUGO; Autumn Ring and another six cars belong to December’s Part 2.
When does Update 1.72 release?
PlayStation’s official trailer description lists the update’s scheduled start as October 14 at 11 p.m. PDT, October 15 at 7 a.m. BST and October 15 at 3 p.m. JST. Those are the same instant: October 15 at 08:00 CEST in Sweden, calculated from the published regional times.
That explains the October 14 date in the US wording. The European release date is October 15.
The game is available on PS5 and PS4, with PS VR2 support on PS5. The trailer lists those platforms; it does not establish identical support for every October and December feature across every device.
What arrives in the October update?
Sportsland SUGO is a Japanese circuit that Polyphony describes as a technical course with dramatic elevation changes. The announcements reviewed do not specify its layouts, weather options or full race-event lineup.
The September Spec IV announcement assigns these additions to Part 1:
| Addition | Announced function |
|---|---|
| Car Concierge | A service for ordering Used and Legend cars. |
| Vintage | A section for cars no longer available to buy new. |
| Experience | Brand-specific driving challenges. |
| Car Viewer | A way to view and admire cars in your garage. |
| Collector Level | An increased level cap. |
| Opening cinematic | A new Spec IV opening movie. |
Car Concierge’s description does not establish unrestricted access to every car, player trading or an auction house. Ordering limits, prices and delivery details remain unspecified in the material reviewed. Likewise, the announced Collector Level increase does not provide a verified new numerical ceiling.
Which six cars are confirmed?
The description of the official GRAN TURISMO TV trailer supplies the complete October roster:
- Citroën 2 CV 6 Charleston ‘86.
- Ferrari F355 Berlinetta ‘94.
- Honda Civic Si Group A version ‘87.
- Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line ‘23.
- Mazda RX-VISION GT3 EVO ‘26.
- Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo.
Gran Turismo separately confirmed Xiaomi’s inclusion in the October Spec IV update. It describes an electric concept hypercar with a “Sofa Racer” cabin concept. That design description supplies context for the reveal; it is not a hands-on assessment of the car’s performance.

What comes in December’s Part 2?
The announced December plan includes Autumn Ring, six additional cars, Family mode, Shuffle Race, Online Drift Trial, the next evolution of Gran Turismo Sophy and an additional Power Pack difficulty level. These additions belong to Part 2 rather than the October 15 release.
Power Pack is existing paid PS5-only DLC. Adding a difficulty level does not announce free ownership of that pack. Sophy’s current implementation also requires PS5; the material reviewed does not supply a final platform matrix for every December addition.
December’s exact release day and complete six-car lineup have not been supplied in the announcements checked.
